Chicken Shack Rochester — Restaurant in Rochester

I love chicken shack, and when we got ready for a hot wing night, I jumped at the chance of getting them to cater for us. Unfortunately this location did not live up to expectations.

When we first called up we told the person on the phone we needed 10 wings per person with an expected 16 people. The pans of wings on the website didn't have a number, just said "feeds up to 12" but just to make sure we requested 3 pans of wing dings a day ahead of time. They said they would call in the morning to confirm.

No call in the morning, so by 3 I called up to confirm. They said it would be ready by 630. About an hour later I had to call up as we had some cancelations and two pans was supposed to be enough so we only did two. I mean, according to the estimate one would have been enough, right?

630 rolls around and my husband went to pick up, wings aren't ready and the cashier argues with him and one of our friends that even though we only ordered 2, they had still rung us up for 3. We told them if they had 3 ready we would pay for them but we only wanted 2. They didn't have any ready, but it took an argument to get them to correct it. They dumped all of the wings into one pan and said it was the equivalent of two, but at the time we didn't know the exact amount we should have nor the time, since now we were late, to count them.

Sure enough, we ran out early and had to order more from Domino's to finish off the night. Called up the next day to complain and was then informed "you know a pan is only 40 right"...no, and that should have been brought up beforehand when I discussed our needs with the first guy, and in no way is 40 wings feeding 12 people. After a little more discussion the conversation ended with "well I'm not sure what you want from us".

Wings were great, but transparency in ordering and overall customer support is lacking at...

I hate this location!!! After getting home, I noticed the chicken was not as broasted fresh and that it tasted very salty. I called and spoke to the manager Aaron who stereotyped me by saying quote.."well I am not going to give you food because people are always calling here for a credit." I explained to him I didn't know "these people" and I was not calling for a credit. I called to make a complaint about the food that my husband and I waited 30 minutes for. At this point I began to get livid and requested another manager. The owner's son decides to get on the phone and brags about owning the location on Sashabaw Rd as well due to the fact that location's food tastes way better. I explained to him his customer service, his GM's attitude and food were a horrible first time experience! I exclaimed I will never ever as G-d as my witness step into another one of his Dad's locations again. His poor choice for fixing the issues cost him $22.97 and a loss of business from myself and future colleagues. We will take our business and taste buds to places where the food doesn't taste like salt and have a higher standard of quality towards the customer. And by the way, if you are reading this and are from his dadddy's location, tell him to get his son in check because his daddy can...

First time i have been to this location. My boyfriend and i dined in and we placed seperate orders. The time on our receipt read 6:40pm which was about right. I get my food at 7pm. They start to get busy, it is now 7:10pm and he goes to check on it. They tell him another 5-7 minutes.At 7:20 he goes up there to check on it, they say "sir wr will have your chicken snack for you in a few minutes and for the inconvience we are giving you a dinner instead". So my boyfriend replies " i had the chicken sandwich " and the guy says "ok, we will give you an extra cole slaw". At 7:30pm they bring his sanwich out with potatoes instead fries ( i acutally made a bet with him saying they would do that. Thats the funny part). So at 7:33 pm we recieve our fries. What kills me is multiple people came in and PLACED to go orders, with chicken sandwiches..chicken dinners and they all got theirs before us. This was such a joke. To top it off we didnt even recieve the "free" coleslaw we were offered. I dont know which one of those clowns were the manager, but the whole crew did not work well under the tad bit of pressure...
