ELL Boutiques — Local services in Rochester

My husband called me from Elle Boutique Rochester, because he wanted to duplicate a puffer vest I'd bought there prior, in another colour. The colour was not available in the store but could be special ordered. Facetiming with the sales person, I specifically asked for a "deep burnished gold, NOT yellow vest" and to please send a picture before ordering to be certain of colour. No pic. sent. A Yellow vest arrived...not good with my pale complexion. I returned it for a refund and was told I could only have a Store Credit. The error having been made by Elle, there being no Elle website to shop, and not anticipating a return to Rochester I initiated a conversation about a refund as opposed to a Store Credit, and ended with asking them to do the right thing. 6 months later I still have neither a refund nor a Store Credit. I call them again. Lynne, (General Manager) emphatically states I will receive neither a refund nor a Store Credit. I let her know this is unlawful and that I will proceed with my Credit Card institution. 5 minutes later, she recants and says she will issue a Store Credit. I have lost confidance and will proceed with...

This is one of my favorite stores to shop at! My experience at this beautiful boutique has been nothing short of great...and full of wonderful customer service! First off, the shop is clean and organized and full of beautiful, classic clothing, as well as the newest trends...and the ladies in that store are helpful - but not intrusive. I found them to be very accommodating. They were all very nice and warm. I cannot imagine anyone leaving that store not feeing good...I know I did! They have many beautiful clothes, shoes, jewelry, purses and luggage, and accessories. It's a great place to go and treat yourself to a new outfit or purchase a nice gift for your friends! It's a boutique so they get in new things often...and you don't have to worry about anyone else wearing the same outfit! Rochester is lucky to have ELL Boutiques! ...

This is a cute little store located in the subway level of Mayo clinic. I am not sure how to describe it but to me clothing, purses and shoes are almost vintage modern. This store is not cheap by any means. Things are actually pretty spendy considering the fact that they have fake Gucci and some other luxury brand prints on them. That is the only thing that keeps me from buying from here because I might as well spend $300-$600 on a real Armani or Gucci rather than very obvious fake Gucci prints. Also it's important to know that they don't have a website, if you purchased something and need to return it, you can only get a refund in the form of a store credit so if you're not planning on returning to Rochester you won't be...
