I love Tinns! I only have good things to say about this place. You have to support this great team with great values!
Here’s why: The other day, Tinns accommodated my 25 sandwich order for pick up at 10:30am (which is before they opened). I had been emailing the owner, Leroy, back and forth as my order details kept changing on him. I appreciate his flexibility, timely responses, and attention to details. I (a Mayo Clinic Employee who works at the downtown campus) took the intercampus shuttle bus to the Saint Mary’s campus (where Tinns sits across) to pickup my large order. I showed up with a big tote bag, thinking I could handle carrying a loaded bag back to my workplace…but boy was I wrong. The Tinns staff had carefully put each sandwich into its own individual to-go containers (each labeled with a name), which they put into larger boxes for easier transport. In addition to the boxes, they gave me another box with free bags of chips. I didn’t bring backup and there was no way I would be able to bring all these boxes myself. Seeing how helpless I was, Leroy didn’t even hesitate to make a decision to personally drop me and my order off at the downtown campus by the Gonda Building. I insisted for him to charge me a delivery fee, but he refused. He and the co-owner, Boon, loaded their pick-up truck with my order and drove me (on the SNOWIEST day of December) to my meeting. There was about 5 or more inches of snow! On the way there, I realized the level of passion they had for their food as they shared how they tested new recipes and where they got their ingredients, etc. As I sat in the passenger seat, feeling very fortunate to receive this level of care, I flat out told them that they made me feel like a member of their family. They immediately replied, reassuring me that I was indeed part of the Tinns family as it was their value to take the best care of their customers. WHAT AN EXCEPTIONAL QUALITY THAT SETS THEM APART FROM OTHER BUSINESSES! Once we arrived at my drop off area, they both got out and helped load my order onto a cart. They didn’t even let me lift a finger.
If they are willing to go out of their way to help me and my team have the best experience, they’ll definitely take...
Read moreGlad to see Tinn's back. Not quite the same though, ended up spending $47 for cheese curds, two 12" subs and some ranch. They forgot to give us half our order but they had just re-opened, were very busy and mistakes happen. Cheese curds were not as good as at the old north location, getting stingy on the ranch ($0.50 for small half filled cup. Though to be fair they did that at old location too after switching to a bad ranch brand not long before closing), no parking or eating in (I don't think this location ever had tables), and prices are sky high so unfortunately eating there will be a special occasion a few times a year. Also I don't think they're taking the old punch cards anymore, and I was so close to...
Read moreI ordered a Philly 12 inch sub that had maybe 3-4 oz of beef mixed with onions & mushrooms, didn't even cover the bread to the ends. Instead of cheese, a can of cheese spread was spread on the bread making it soggy, GROSS. Fries claimed to be "home cut fries" were definitely not fresh, very soggy, dark, appeared to be double-fried, and not hot (see photo). Total cost for a 12 in Philly, 6 in veggie, fries and two waters were $45. They had 2-4 people grilling each order separately so it took longer to get our order. The owner presented a screen upon paying seeking a tip. Not a Subway fan, but Much better Philly Steak Sub for...
