Our son and his wife chose Prairie Street Brewhouse as their wedding venue, and all we can say is WOW!!! We have always loved the natural, rustic beauty of their large reception room with the wood, brick & stone details and the beautiful paper lanterns and chandelier. The whole venue is amazing - location is second to none with the beautiful Rock River as a backdrop, and each space in the building has a very cool vibe. The reception itself was perfect. Rarely do people remark about the food at a wedding, but our guests made a point to share how delicious their meals were. The large variety of craft beer was a huge hit as well, and really added a unique element to the reception. The service by the Prairie Street team was top-notch from the beginning of the planning process all the way through the reception itself. They made sure every last detail was taken care of, and guaranteed my son and his wife had the wedding day of their dreams! What an awesome opportunity to showcase one of Rockford's many gems to our out-of-town guests! We highly recommend Prairie Street!! A+

Dining at Prairie House Brewery was particularly a disappointing experience. When approaching the entrance we were greeted rudely by two unorganized arrogant female servers. We were given two choices, wait several minutes or choose to go somewhere else. My boyfriend and I decided to wait since it was our first time coming to the brewery. Later, the server finally granted us a table after several minutes of patiently waiting, she handed out a sticky menu and persistently asked us to give the menus back as if we weren't. Of course, without hesitation, I'd handed it back. No need for a dirty menu with no use for it. The female server who was a tall, skinny white lady, with light brown hair, about 20, was hostile, made rude remarks about customers, and seemed agitated about serving us overall. The dining options were rather bland and generic. Common American dishes like the greasy burger my boyfriend ordered and regular tacos I accepted. Drinks were watered down, nothing out of the ordinary. Not what you expect from a high-class restaurant. The property is located at The Rock River near a dock. One unique aspect of this property is the landscape. In my opinion, the view is fairly decent but overhyped, as goose pellets flying overhead. My first dining experience was seated outside but my second was indoors. During my indoor experience, we received a pretentious server, who served us egg rolls with hair inside. Absolutely disgusting and neglectful food handling! We spoke to the cowardly manager after several minutes of waiting, handing us an empty gift card, supposedly with the amount we paid for the egg rolls (little did we know at the time), which was insulting and careless to do. Even the customers who were dining made odd remarks, offended by people speaking Spanish. Well, they clearly haven't been to Europe where people speak five different languages. They'd probably have a heart attack hearing them. Maybe they should learn Spanish and not stay ignorant, the world is diverse. I'm working on my master's in Language Technology at a European University, so hearing a loud conversation, by Americans, feeling insulted because they don't understand a language is quite vexatious. In conclusion, this brewery is commonplace with regular drinks and insipid meals. Clearly, they need to work on customer service. The servers are a headache to speak to and the manager is a charlatan. I've never received such bad service from any restaurant until coming to this brewery, high class or not. Overall deserves 0 stars.

Located in the heart of Rockford, Prairie Street Brewing is a phenomenal venue for a wedding. I was privileged to be hired to shoot a wedding there in October, 2023. Top to bottom, PSB delivers. From the ambience in each area, to prompt and attentive staff, and all parts in-between, PSB is a no-brainer for holding your wedding. You can't go wrong with: - A ceremony location nestled right beside the river; - A main room for your reception that adapts to either a laid back and chilled vibe for dinner, to energetic and wild for your dancing shenanigans; - Other parts of the building that offer great photo options for memories you'll cherish for your lifetime; - And a staff that stays on top of things like clockwork, working hard to ensure your wedding is running smoothly and efficiently. There's much more. But to truly appreciate it, you need to go in person and meet with their staff. You'll be impressed. See some of the images posted here that I shot at the previously-mentioned wedding, and get an idea of just how wonderful PSB is for hosting weddings!

Very good food. Service was great. For being a pretty busy place, with multiple events also happening, it was not overly noisy and food & drinks were served in a timely manner. We tried the beer flight paired with girl scout cookies. Interesting idea and the beers were good. I didn't really note the described taste experience as expected, but honestly I've been having trouble with sense of smell since last year so it might also effect my tastebuds too. I did taste the drunken Cuban melt just fine and it was big enough that my girlfriend and I each ate half. We also shared the cheese curds, which were also delicious, with a slightly spicy dipping sauce on the side. Very generous portions for those as well. It's a very nice, historical building also, with a nice dockside outdoor space to hang out. I noted there are boat slips and a stage, however, being (an unseasonably warm) February there wasn't any action there just yet. We will definitely be back again to try some other beers and food, and maybe hear/see some live music too.

I had recently purchased a “Ultimate Weekend Escapes” magazine and one of the places to visit was Rockford! The article mentioned many places to visit in the area and also mentioned Prairie Street Brewing as one of the best places to eat in Rockford. We decided to visit the location and it did not disappoint. The building was beautiful and incorporated the history of the area. The views were also beautiful as the back patio overlooked the Rock River and city. The interior was well kept and provided a unique old factory type feel. The service was fantastic and many employees enjoyed working there. The food was very good and included dishes for every taste. The brews are also a must and are very tasty. The pricing is fair as well. I would recommend this location to anyone in the area and even after visiting the Anderson Garden’s. You can tell this establishment is paving the way for more business to open up in downtown Rockford!

Well Hello Rockford😁 Just had lunch with the Family at the Prairie Street Brewing Co. and wanted to share my experience with you All. They have done an excellent job of rehabbing the inside of this building. We sat down in the lower level of the restaurant so for those that may need Wheelchair asessable they have an elevator available for use.The menu has a nice variety of choices to tantalize all taste buds. The food was fantastic and we left feeling full. The atmosphere was great for a daytime meal and I feel this it would be fantastic during the summer with a view of the Rock River. Our waitress was very knowledgeable with their menu and the suggestions she made where just as delicious as she made them sound. I will definitely be back and I highly recommend this establishment for all to try. If your looking for a Great affordable place for date night I would give them a try.
