Quixotic Bakery — Restaurant in Rockford Township

Honestly i had high hopes for this bakery seeing all the positive feedback but i am very disappointed

i placed an order for a red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting with the day and time a week before the date i go there is no cake -no one confirmed it and added it to the system i was given 15% off a $50 cake which i am thankful for they were very nice about it

today i tasted it i would not recommend their cakes i am sorry but it tastes like a store bought box cake and store bought icing not from scratch from a bakery

My husband and I ordered 4 cake in a jars through a delivery service and they were $8 a piece not including the other fees (taxes, delivery service, delivery and tip) which we were fine to pay. Afterall it was delivery. I thought, at first, this was close to the price they cost inside the bakery. Unfortunately, they were between $3.00-$5.50 more. I understand pricing up slightly for the storage but having someone pay $5.50 more for the same item is ridiculous. Even if all of ours cost $5.00, that would still be an additional $12.00 for those small cups. The cakes also came frozen with way more frosting than anything else. For a first time experience, having a second is highly unlikely. I guess if you live in Rockford, you get better service...

I love baked goods and dessert, but unfortunately I'm also gluten free. That makes the selection in Rockford pretty limited. We also have a few food allergies in the family. I go to Quixotic for every birthday and family event.
