Tried this location for the first time today, I've been sorely craving a new BBQ place closer to home, and this one is just down the street for me. Needless to say I'm amazed. I ordered the Tri-Tip Burger, had just the burger patty, tri-tip and added cheddar cheese and ketchup (I'm a pretty plain eater). And my god did it blow my mind. The Tri-tip was so tender and juicy, the burger was cooked to perfection, and the cheese and bun was delicious. It was absolutely fantastic and so, so tasty. I was so torn on what to get initially because all the items look so tasty, and I was planning to try a new dish next time I visit, but I liked this burger so much I don't know if I can switch now! LOL.
The building is in a great spot, right off the roundabout so people will see it, it has ample room indoors with a high vaulted ceiling, 2 huge TV's over the bar, great spacious seating inside and an awesome patio area for outdoor seating as well. Cute, Quaint, and Straight to the point. Everything was super clean when I visited to pick-up my order, and the wall to wall windows allowed a LOT of natural light to fill the building.
I used to go to Dickie's BBQ, and there will always be a soft spot in my heart for that place, though it's across town, has been having staffing issues and stock issues and I feel bad because this place has won me over and I probably will go here first over Dickie's now. Lol. I hope this location stays! We sorely have needed a good BBQ place on this side of Rocklin for a long time now! This one has my vote as a...
Read moreWent for lunch while Christmas shopping nearby. Not busy at all, friendly greeting and our order promptly. While waiting we noticed the music was loud and not relaxing at all. The food was delivered in a timely manner as expected for it being slow. Was asked if there was anything else we needed, we requested a side of ranch and some more napkins. Our request was quickly forgotten and was never followed up on. The group next to us was the focus of the crew since their complaint was undercooked food. This was concerning since we did order the pork ribs. As expected the ribs were delivered uncut? Like who does that? And very undercooked. My grandson almost severed his arm trying to cut a slab of ribs with a dull steak knife. Definitely a law suit waiting to happen! Contemplating sending the ribs back to the kitchen we overheard the group next to us were still waiting for their undercooked food to arrive back to there table. We decided to cut our loss and leave instead. That night our grandson was sick from food poisoning from the undercooked pork. If we return again, we will stick to the...
Read moreI really liked it. We ordered a feast for 2 with 2 entrees and 2 sides. The tri tip was cooked really well. We ordered it medium and it came pink, which was fine for us. It was very tender and juicy. The char on the outside was fantastic. Also order the bbq chicken. Comes with a breast-wing and a leg-thigh. The sauce was nicely glazed on. Not too strong but an excellent flavor. The meat was juicy and seasoned perfectly. For sides, was got garlic mash and gravy. I liked it, my wife wasn't blown away. It has a subtle garlic flavor. It is a lumpy mash - which I like. Typical brown gravy, seasoned well. The other side was the roadhouse onions. The are tumbleweed. Thinly cut and battered. I didn't care for the batter. It was seasoned well but it is a dry batter and the taste of flour is too strong for me. Cornbread is excellent but a little small. As far as the dining room. A little small but tall ceilings. And some of the staff act like they have a job to do - bringing your food out really fast, but it took 10 minutes to flag someone down to get a Togo box. We thought they...
