So, we love Cici's but this was the worst location we have been to by far, which is surprising since it's in Rockwall. I do recommend Cici's, just steer clear of this location
all the chairs were sticky; at every table on our side of the room. And I mean like a lollipop, to where the stickiness transfers to your hand. We walked up and down checking tables, they were all the same.
there was a pretty bad smell coming from the back left side of the place. We initially thought it was the bathroom but then realized it was on the other side, far away... I don't know what it was but no one was sitting on that side of the restaurant so it was empty for a reason and may be a known thing
the selection of pizza was very limited. They had a lot of pizza but they were all 3-4 kinds. We went at 6:30-ish PM and thanks to having 3 kids, we usually kill a good hour or so there and the pizza choices did not change once
5). Some pizza pans did not have spatulas. Why does this matter? Because some people will and were using their hands to grab pizza... not cool for us, especially when they are ripping to pieces apart and leaving one
6). The salad bar was unkept, mixed up and spills in opposing food baskets. The salad bar is one of the most delicious stops and this one had you questioning whether it was clean
7). Some of the food tasted off or were burnt. My daughters said the brownies tasted different so we stopped them and the cheese sticks were dryer than a crouton. Some of the pizza was burnt on the crust
The positive (why 2 stars instead of 1):
the front cashier guy was friendly but if it's like the Cici's in McKinney or the Colony, it was his job to maintain the salad bar
I actually liked the Alfredo pizza though I never get it. I only got it here since it was that, cheese, pepperoni or chicken/waffle the fountain drink station at least had normal tasting drinks
-- Overall, we will never go here again. We frequent McKinney, colony and Frisco locations every month or so and each has their own perks, (McKinney best variety and best tasting pizza/cheesebread), Colony (cleanest and best salad bar), Frisco (newest and coziest). Suffice to say, we know good quality and this...
Read moreWe went there tonight after a good swim and we're greated by a rude employee as well as a rude manager. When one of the people in our group asked if they had trays, because the one that he usually goes to does. The manager replied with unnecessicary smart ass comments after the cashier was rude while answering another question. I couldn't tell you the names of these people because no one was wearing name tags. We went around 9 and the hours online say they close at 11. But when we were looking for a place to fit our party of 7+ infant we we're abruptly interupted by the same rude manager yelling that they are closing half the store and to sit on the other side. Yes I understand that this makes it easier to close down but there were no signs, we had a large party and we're about to head to the only large table but instead were rudely interrupted by someone who should have had the most professionalism in the establishment. After complaining to our group about how rude the staff. we proceeded to look for a clean table, but most on the side we were allowed to sit were dirty. We put a table together and in the middle of us moving the tables and chairs. The manager rushed to move the chairs when he had already made it clear that customers were not his priority. The line was an absuabso mess with bread sticks spread all about. And the pasta dishes were out of the water. There were no forks stocked. The entire time after complaining to my own party, I was being watched from across the room by the manager and other staff. While eating we realized we were not asked about the size of our cups and the 2 of us were given large cups while the other part of the group were given small cups. Both not asked and I can only assume this was to gain more money off the smaller group since both our totals were about the same now. When we went to leave the manager would not stop bugging us if were satisfied, but I had to walk away to maintain my calmness. No our service was not satisfactory. That was not your priority until you heard my complaining to everyone in my group. and no you can't make that up by stalking us from across the store or bugging us when we are trying to leave. As a manager you should maintain professionalism at all times, not use sarcasm when talking to customers and interrupting their visit at bad times. I heavily believe this location needs better management if they want to keep...
Read moreThe food was good but the service was a complete disaster. Manager sitting on her phone and her kid running around. Kitchen staff screaming in the background saying they were tired and wanted to leave. We arrived 5 minutes after 10 pm and even asked if the buffet was still going since they close at 11 and they said "yes" so we decided to stay. Once we sat down to eat the staff started sweeping and mopping the floor about 4 feet from our table. Everyone looked bother that we were there since it was almost time to close. When I got up to get soup the spoon was gone and when I asked an employee his response was " oh it has been taken back to dish washer". It was 10:35 pm, I payed to eat and I couldn't because they were too busy getting ready to close!!! He didn't even bother to get me one just turned around and continue to clean. This Cicis Pizza does not have trays so if you have 2 or more plates you will have to make multiples trips to the table.** Never going back! My advise, don't go after 10 because everybody is ready to go home!! This place needs some serious management!!! Change you closing hours to 10 if you don't want to stay later to take care of you...
