Horrible customer service! Would like to give zero stars but that's not an option ....Been going to chans for years, management or owners must've changed because I've had the absolute worst experience that I've ever had dealing with a restaurant. My wife ordered dinner for my family, and I picked it up on the way home from work. Come to find out the order was wrong, and I was overcharged… I must've received another customers order by mistake. Call the restaurant to get it fixed, and the first want to blame me for their mistake… Then when I asked them how they're going to fix it they told me that I need to drive back 40 minutes round-trip to get my correct order that at that point had been sitting on their counter for over 40 minutes. Realizing they were not going to be much help I just asked for my money back and that's when I got really rude with me and said they would give me my money back if I would drive the food back to them in order to get my money back.

They overcharged me, there should not of been a question whether not they would've refunded what they overcharged me

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent dining experience at Van Chan's Chinese Restaurant.This establishment is utterly unacceptable and should be seriously considered for closure. We drove 30 miles for a piss poor experience.

Firstly, the restaurant itself was incredibly filthy. The overall cleanliness was appalling, creating an unsanitary and unwelcoming atmosphere.

Secondly, the customer service was abysmal. Food came out concerningly fast it was cold and of poor quality. The meat appeared to be pre-cooked, resulting in a bland and unappetizing dish.

I’m concerned the food is not store properly after cooking.

The condiment station was extremely disgusting.

To further compound the issue, the cashier was dismissive of our complaints, claiming that we were the only ones with such concerns. This lack of empathy and accountability is truly inexcusable.

I strongly advise anyone considering dining here to reconsider. This restaurant clearly does not prioritize the health and well-being of its customers and should be avoided...

I don't know why this place has such bad reviews, I enjoyed the very filling meal. I tried their fried pork dumplings, vegetable egg roll and lunch size cashew chicken. Both the lunch entree and appetizer were enough for two, so they make sure you are full! Good amount of food for the money. The fried potsticker was actually very yummy with a nice soy based sauce on the side. The cashew chicken was just what I wanted, with that thickened cornstarch based brown sauce with real mushrooms, zucchini, chicken and loads of cashews. They didn't skimp on cashews or taste. Everything was tasty and totally what one is looking for as far as take out Chinese.

Atmosphere - It is setup as a counter serve place, no waitresses at close to 4pm on a Sunday, instead you order at the register and take a seat anywhere. However there are burn or mildew stains on the kitchen walls facing the dining room so I couldn't give them 5 stars on atmosphere. Although I did enjoy the Chinese red and gold decor and shiney...
