Pickleman's Gourmet Cafe — Restaurant in Rogers

The food is good. It's pricey but very fresh and tastes good. Portions are ok. 45 bucks for 1 sandwich, two half salads, 1 chip and 2 drinks. We came in 3 ish today. The young men working in there were polite but the two young ladies not so much. The young lady taking the orders looked mad that we walked in and had attitude in an eye rolling way. The young lady at the register had her back turned for a good while as we waiting to pay. Personal drink sitting right next to the register didn't look really professional but not worst thing. There weren't hardly any clients while we were there. Maybe 3 to 4 people while we ate. There was a dirty table behind us. It was there when we got there and even after we left. It looked like someone left their food and didn't clean up after themselves. I mean I get people are supposed to dump their own things but no one really took initiative to clean it up while the store wasn't busy either. The place just didn't feel very welcoming. I don't need a red carpet or a butt kissing but at least don't act annoyed you must be bothered to make a sandwich or some salads when you're getting paid to. My daughter and I visited Pickleman's at the Pinnacle location this evening. It's the first one I've been to in Arkansas. The store was really clean and tidy. The gentleman behind the counter was kind enough to let my daughter have samples of the soup so she could choose which one she wanted with her sandwich. We got her order and then I ordered my hog sandwich and broccoli and cheese soup. I was talking with my daughter and looking around when I realized my sandwich was in fact a pizza. I told the gentlemen I was in for a surprise today because I thought it was a sandwich. He offered to let me cancel it even though he had started making it, and order a sandwich. I thanked him, and thought it sounded good regardless I'll just go with a pizza and soup today. Lol The cashier was extremely friendly to my daughter and me. I was impressed with the staff's kindness and polite manners. The food was delicious. The temperature was great. Wow! I was in this location 9/9/25 about 5 pm(?). I had called from Mercy Hospital to check on an online delivery order which I had placed for my wife’s dinner, but was unsure if it had gone through. I called and spoke with a gentleman who told me that he had no orders from online matching mine. I told him that was fine, I would come in and pick it up. When I arrived, I was greeted by the team, and as things unfolded I noticed a tall gentleman coming from the back office and giving me the telephone sign “asking if I was the guy”? I said yes and he and his line manager conversed briefly and to my amazement, would not accept my payment. When I looked at them with that “what’s going on here look”, I was told “it’s on us, that’s the kind of people we are.You have to drive all the way back to Eureka Springs tonight and we are right here” “We will take it over to your wife as well!” I was so moved by that kindness to a complete stranger, (that had offered to pay) that it brought me to tears of gratitude.
