I visited the drive thru today (7/5/25) around 2:30pm and I feel awful I didn't catch the names of those at drive thru register and food handler, but both young men were very polite and helpful. Honestly, it took me aback. In a world where I can't get good customer service anywhere, I got it at McDonalds. The cashier (with a big smile asked me how my day was, and apoligized if he misheard me becuase there was a garderned with a blower working while I ordered. He didnt miss an item, then again poliety told me to have a wonderful day, to stay cool becuase it was hot, and drive safely home) - what an absolute angel! And the food handler at the next window, had my food ready, again apologized for blower and again asked if my order was correct. He smiled ever so sweetly and brightly and wished me well with a sweet wave. I mean, this is how you make someone's day and they did! To the management team, please look at those on staff today and recongize them becauae it is a team effort to work in food service and they both had more manners and bigger smiles then I have ever seen. I'm a believer that bad news travels with a scream, but positivity travels on a whisper. They deserve the recognition.
Also, the food was on point. I usually think McDonalds is just to fill my belly, but the fries were hot and crispy, the burger was plump and not soggy. I just am in awe at the super sweet experience I had for a less than 2 minute encounter, well...
Read moreMy husband and I are disabled seniors with disabled vehicle plates. We are privileged to travel now. We were judged to be homeless wretches that they often see there. We are traveling. We were paying with a hundred dollar bill. That should have been their first clue. We were told to leave even before we received our change which was being held by the large women who identified herself as the manager. While I was defending our position, the counter girl (blonde with a braid and way too much make up and attitude to work the counter) and the manager became loud, abusive and threatened to call the police, all this while keeping our change. We left as requested. The manager stood at the door then and us in our vehicle as she waved our change around as if we forgot it. I cautiously stepped from my vehicle and retrieved my hundred dollars which then I had to count in my vehicle. We were appalled. We had been eating there every day, several times a day before these particular two women showed up on Sunday. I was completely satisfied with the polite and service oriented counter women who were there working all week. Sunday we were told not to return, that we would not be served. How disappointing for such McDonald's fans like ourselves. We cringe when we pass McDonald's now. It's literally painful. I just realized that I wrote this in the wrong McDonald's. It was the McDonald's in Willows that was the...
Read moreI would avoid coming here. I placed an order on the app (pick up at "drive thru") at 10:39p 17Feb2025 for this McD location, which advertised serving until 11p. When I arrived at 10:45p to collect, there were cones blocking off the drive thru. This was odd, considering the app provided "drive thru" as an available option for pick up (the other available options for hand-off were "counter" and "table" with the unavailable option being "curb side". No problem since I figured I could go inside. However, an unofficial-looking signage at the entrance stated this location was closing at 11p due to maintenance. I had made it before 11p with time to spare (i.e. 10:45p) to get my food, so that shouldn't have been a problem - or so I thought. When I got to the counter, the personnel there could not (or would not) help, as they just kept saying they were closed due to maintenance and would not be making my food, despite me being charged for it, and the signage suggesting they were still open. As I explained my situation, they refused to help and refund me. Eventually, they summoned the manager, who said it was on me to contest it with my bank. She then said the charge would be returned to my card, but she said I could just come back in a day or two (as if it were that easy - I live 50+ miles away). Returning is out of the question. I want my money back, especially for something I did...
