EDIT I originally gave a one-star review (seen below) because I was very upset about my catering experience. Thankfully, however, Marie at Bagels Inc. reached out to me personally to apologize and to offer to make up for the mishap. Of course I was happy to give Bruegger's another chance. Things happen; I understand that. What's important is the follow up. And this time there were no hiccups! Our catering order was delivered yesterday morning on time and complete. I appreciate the company making this right and I will be glad to recommend Bruegger's in the future.
Due to "staffing issues" (Bruegger's unwillingness to pay their workers a living wage) catering orders can be taken, but not filled. DO NOT ORDER CATERING FROM BREUGGER'S BAGELS. On Monday 11/29 I placed an online catering order for 4 carafes of coffee. I was hosting an important board meeting for the Vadnais Heights Economic Development Corporation and specified that the order be delivered by 7:15AM on 12/1. On the day of, as people were arriving, I noticed it was 7:19 and the delivery driver had not even called yet. I called Bruegger's and Andrew answered. He informed me that he was just finishing up making my order (IT WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE BEEN DELIVERED ALREADY) and he didn't have anybody to bring it to me. He also told me he could see that DoorDash was not even en route yet. With tears in my eyes I frantically began calling around to see where else I could fill my order on such short notice. I made a mad dash to Panera and they were able to save the day. Although everything was late to the meeting, including me, Panera was a hit. But then get this, two hours into the meeting Bruegger's called me and asked if I wanted my order. What??! No!!! "Oh, sorry about that." was the response I got. I didn't have time to deal with the situation at that moment as I was hosting the very important meeting that Bruegger's FAILED to accommodate. So the next day (yesterday) I emailed Bruegger's catering support to let them know the full extent of the damage and to also let them know that a simple apology is not enough. This isn't a situation where Bruegger's gets to just shrug their shoulders and say "whoops, no harm no foul. We won't charge your card." However, that's exactly the response I got from Kendra down at Bruegger's catering support. She literally cited "staffing issues" as if that's an acceptable answer. Newsflash Bruegger's Bagels, your "staffing issues" are not my problem. Kendra basically said that due to Bruegger's unwillingness to pay workers a fair wage, they are passing that inconvenience onto the customer as well. This is not a good look for Bruegger's. I highly recommend anybody who has a catering event to AVOID BRUEGGER'S. Go to Panera and say hi to Lisa and the gals. They...
Read moreThird and last time ever stepping foot in your establishment in Roseville. 1) every time we go there are very few bagels. We order for our office so having to make calls to change orders on almost every order is super frustrating. 2) your employees fail terribly at customer service. There is one lady there most mornings we go that takes ALL OF HER FRUSTRATIONS out on the customers. Hey you! It is not our fault that the line is being held up because you have no things that match and we are left standing there trying to be creative trying to pull together a sandwich that may taste good. 3) the sandwiches are so messy I had to buy a plastic pullover to eat it and remain neatly dressed at work. WE QUIT YOU BRUEGGERS! We found a new place for all of you customers that are in or near the Roseville area. St. Paul Bagelry. Look it up. They have a lot of bagels ready to start your day. They have super creamy cream cheese. They actually break a real egg on the grill and put that lovely finished creation on the meat of your choice. The bagels are much softer and chewable. Finally - you only need one napkin to wipe your hands and mouth while enjoying this super yummy...
Read moreGonna get right down to it and say this place really needs a cleaning. There is food all over the carpets and trash is overflowing. Every bench seat had trash or food underneath it… no way that was just from the morning rush. The staff used gloves but then touch the register with the same fingers without changing gloves. Can you imagine the amount of old food and human skin that is on that register screen. We can’t get away from germs but you can at least try when serving food to the public. There was a dirty wet rag next to the oven(which had burnt crumbs all under it) and coffee machines with stains behind them on the wall. Also it looked like there was employee information sitting out by the registers which should be cleared off plus that violates staffs information. This place is dated and that’s fine if you can just keep it clean and make sure you’re serving in a sanitary environment. I would have taken more pictures but I’m sure the manager knows what I’m talking about.
The bagel I ordered was messy and squished together. The flavor is good but it’s hard to enjoy when it falling apart in...
