Range Kitchen & Tap in Roseville gets a 4-star review from me. It's a great option for a casual lunch or dinner with a focus on delicious food and friendly service. Here's what my experience was like: Convenient Location and Seating: Situated conveniently in a strip mall with ample parking, Range Kitchen offers a variety of seating options. They have a spacious indoor area with plenty of tables, perfect for both small and large groups. They even have some outdoor seating and bar seating for those who prefer a more social vibe. Quiet Lunchtime Visit: Interestingly, when I visited for lunch on a weekend, the restaurant was quite empty. There were only two other groups dining. This made for a very peaceful experience, but it's worth noting that it might be busier during peak hours. Top-Notch Service: The server was a real highlight. He was energetic, attentive, and really helpful in explaining the menu. The service itself was fast as well, which is always appreciated. Modern & Bright Ambiance: The restaurant has a modern interior with a clean aesthetic. Large windows let in plenty of natural light, creating a bright and airy atmosphere. Menu with Something for Everyone: The menu offers a good variety of options to satisfy different appetites. They have small plates for sharing, larger entrees like burgers and pizzas, sliders, salads, and even a selection of beers on tap, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks. Good Pizza, Great Sliders: I opted for their cheese pizza, which comes on a thin crust. They offer gluten-free crust for an extra charge, and all their pizzas are one size (8 slices), which is plenty for 2-3 people. The pizza itself was good - the crust was crispy without being overcooked, and the cheese had a nice pull. It looked visually appealing with a golden, glistening crust. However, I found the cheese to be a bit on the mild side, lacking the salty punch I was expecting. Thankfully, the red pepper flakes on the table helped elevate the flavor. The real star of my lunch was the bison sliders. The brioche bun was unbelievably soft and light, practically melting in my mouth. The bison patty itself was cooked perfectly - juicy and flavorful. The addition of fried jalapenos added a nice spicy kick that complemented the richness of the bison. While a touch more sauce on the slider would have been nice, it was still absolutely delicious. Overall, Range Kitchen & Tap offers a solid dining experience with delicious food, friendly service, and a variety of menu options. The convenient location with ample parking is a plus. Just be aware that the pizza might be a bit on the mild side for some tastes, and the restaurant can be quiet during off-peak hours.

My wife and I were intrigued. This is close to our house so we were excited. There seemed top be a problem with the air conditioning because it was very warm. When we mentioned this to our server she provided no explanation and once the ordered was placed she stood off facing herself. It was pretty hard to order warm food as it was 100+ outside and so warm inside. There was a couple of smallish groups and their children seemed to have free roam of the restaurant. There were two kids playing on their phones behind our table. I ordered a diet coke and received a can and a glass of ice. This was a little shocking for a $3 soda. That is some markup for a no- refills drink. Very disappointing. I ordered the mom's meat loaf which was pretty good. The mash potatoes did not have a lot of flavor but the meat loaf and the veggies were excellent. My wife ordered the short rib pizza and the server informed us that they changed that one up a bit. The pizza that was described was nothing like the short rib pizza. She wound up getting the margherita pizza and it was good. Overall the meal cost us $45 before tip which included a Monk's Cellar Biere Blanc for $7. It is hard to say if we will give it another chance. Time will tell.

We participated in a neighborhood raffle and won a $100 gift card to Range. What better way to try something new, right? First of all, I want to say how much respect they gained from us on our first attempt to eat there. It turned out that they were closing early and taking the next day off to give their employees some “we’ll deserved time off”. That sounds like a business that appreciates their employees and proves it. I can totally get behind that. We went back the following week and started with the bison meatball sliders and Mac-n-cheese. Neither disappointed but the sliders were delicious and I highly recommend them. For our main course, I got the scallops and my wife got the meatloaf. Again, not disappointed. The atmosphere is great and I want to give two big shoutouts. The first goes to our waitress, Sophie, she had a true waitress personality and added to the experience. Secondly, the manager, Jessica made it a point to come by our table to make sure everything was ok and to welcome us. The Range has a true customer first attitude and we loved it. Our thanks to all and we fully intend to return.

Range is okay. A couple friends told me they loved it, especially the cast iron meatballs, which is what brought me in. Plus pictures of the patio area on their website were gorgeous! I was looking forward to it.. when I got there I order a glass of chardonnay while I waited for my friend to join me. When he got there he asked if they had happy hour, which they did. And he got wine off that menu. I thought, is it a secret? Why wouldn't the server tell me about it? Lol Anyway, we got the cast iron meatballs, chefs pizza & chicken caesar salad and the best thing out of those (even though undercooked) were the meatballs! The pizza was more like a flatbread with sparse toppings, and the bad: caesar salad. The dressing was thick and heavy (which is understandable since they have comfort food) but the chicken was all bad. Maybe it was undercooked and touched some wet dish rags in the back, im not sure but I would believe it. Our server wasn't friendly either-- felt like she was rushing us out of there (even though the place was empty?) AND: the pretty patio was nowhere to be found. I wonder if they had it on the side of the building before, but replaced it with a basic tent in front of the entrance.

We had a good time regardless, but didn't tip very well (her face showed the disappointment). But hey, I'm not about that entitlement. You get...

Saturday night my husband and I were extremely disappointed with our entire experience, from horrible food to non existent waiter, with Range Kitchen. So much so I wrote them an email at 2 am when I was having stomach cramps from their overly peppered food. The manager/owner Kevin responded today (Wednesday), this was just as slow as their service was that night. Food: Both my husbands scallops and my meatloaf tasted as if they were swimming in a pool of black pepper! The scallops and risotto were also undercooked while my meatloaf was burnt and the gravy turned to gelatin because it was sitting there so long. The carrots and beans next to my overcooked meatloaf were completely raw. Our appetizer of "bacon" (no hint, taste or smell of bacon could be found) brussels sprouts was raw and maybe there were 3 microscopic pieces of bacon in the small mound of brussels. Service: Our server also forgot about us for first 15 then 50 minutes then an additional 30 min and never once apologized for his delay and lack of service. I was extremely saddened to have such a bad evening considering before their "winter break" we had take out from this location that was amazing. I suppose the pandemic must have taken away their A Team, B Team and C Team because I think we...
