If you have dietary restrictions, beware!

I’ll start by saying those that ordered food without dietary restrictions said their food was delightful. However, for myself with a dairy allergy the service and food was very subpar.

When I ordered the breakfast hash I prefaced to the waiter “no cheese, no butter as I have a dairy allergy”. There seemed to be now problem with this until the waiter delivered my meal, which ended up being a plate of boiled golden potatoes with two scrambled eggs on top. No seasonings, no veggie mix that was supposed to be in the hash, just PLAIN potatoes and 2 eggs. It wasn’t until then that I was informed by the waiter that all their food is prepared with butter so “this was all the chef could do with no dairy” and the rest of the hash was a “premade mix that already included dairy”. While I understand my options are often limited while eating out with an allergy, I was extremely disappointed I wasn’t informed my meal would be changed and extremely bland upon it being served. I asked the waiter about other options I had the would be dairy free and was basically told there was none. The waiter then offered to “only charge as side dishes” but because I asked to at least get a side of bacon with my plain boiled potatoes and eggs my total cost only came to $1 less than the original meal I ordered and the food was so subpar (I could have made a much better hash at home which is not the point of eating out at a restaurant in...

FOOD i’m fairly confident that heaven has lemon ricotta pancakes from the pantry.. because these are heaven sent! the pancakes are so fluffy with the yummiest hint of lemon (not overpowering at all). the blueberry lemon butter is fantastic, and the whipped cream is where it’s at! the crab cake benedict was fabulous. the flavors of the crab, the hollandaise, and micro greens just married together so nicely. the pantry combo is pretty straightforward — classic breakfast that you know will always be delicious. the french toast was SO tasty!

SERVICE from the moment we walked in, to the moment we left — we had excellent service! we were greeted by the hostess, and got sat right away. Chao was our server and was attentive, made great recommendations, and took great care of us throughout our entire dining experience!

AMBIANCE this is such an adorable place to meet your girls, have a day date, or a work meeting. it’s decorated so cute inside with a little mediterranean touch. the little olive trees on the tables were so cutesy and fun too!

PARKING the day we went the nearby hospital was having a strike, so parking was really hard to find. i’m not sure if it was a coincidence or if the lot is normally like this. so just in case, be prepared to circle around a bit!

VEGETARIAN lots of veg options. most of the entrees came without meat, and could be added on for the meat eaters!

overall a 10/10, and cannot wait to come back and try more...

Long wait time on busy days but service staff were very patient and understanding.

Took wife to brunch at 10:30 on Caesar Chavez Day. My mistake. Online wait time said 8-20 minutes. I did not put in for online reservation. Mistake #2. Got there. Parking was a little bit of a cluster but Karma found me a spot immediately (no that’s not wife’s name).

Host said 15-20 minute wait but after 30 minutes we just snagged a two seats at the bar. Thankfully we had ample time in line to look at the menu and we were able to order right away.

I will say entire menu looked fantastic. Plates ranged 12-24$ but from all the dishes we saw walking by us they were ample. Wife got the Smoked Salmon Hash and I got the ‘Pantry burger’. Food took a long while to get to us… maybe another 25 minutes but we had no where else to be so I just stared out the window (pretty ravine in background).

Bar tender was polite, gracious and asked to wipe down the bar before we sat… saw things were moving slow in the kitchen so he made us complementary cappuccinos. I had the pistachio cap with coriander accent. Wife got the lavender cap with ??? edible flower. Both were very delicious and appreciated.

Food came and it was very good (though in hindsight the burger was mildly bland. Pantry sauce could use a little kick). The cream sauce on the smoked salmon was top notch though!

Would definitely go back but 1000% would recommend putting in reservations on peak...
