Good products, but lie after lie from employees and poor management. My wife and I had a very bad experience at Havertys North Point. We used the store to help decorate parts of our home. We used one of their designers and a sales person. They told us MULTIPLE TIMES we could chose anything we wanted, have it delivered and then they would come to our home and stage it for us to see if we like it for 7 days and if not return any items we didn't like. We spent more around 12K on accessories and a few small pieces of furniture to decorate our home. The items were delivered to our home and spent over a week in boxes in our garage after the designer and sales person canceled their first appointment and then didn't show up to the second appointment, finally over a week later at the third appointment they showed up and staged some of the accessories and furniture and had to come back the next day to finish. My wife told the designer that same day which pieces she was not happy to keep and the designer said it was OK and the store would contact us to pickup the items, the trash and refund the money. Not just we didn't get a call, my wife had to contact them multiple times until eventually I got a call from the sales person telling me that unfortunately we only had three days to return the items from the day of delivery. To comply with this silly rule we would've had to return the items in boxes before they came to stage them since they canceled on us twice and showed up over a week later. She didn't care and said that was their policy. To make things worse I asked to speak to the store manager only for him to tell me the same thing! This is unbelievable, the store manager knows his team made a mistake, not only once, but twice by not showing up to stage the items the day they were delivered or the day after and he is not willing to correct the problem. Anyway, I am only giving this review for other shoppers to know ahead of time what to expect as far as Customer service from Havertys and from this location. After seeing the reply, I called the store again thinking maybe they would try to correct the situation, but they weren’t sure why I was asked to call the store again because they have no resolution to this issue. I think the reply was posted to make it appear as if Haverty’s was trying to resolve the issue, but in fact it only caused me to spend more time calling the store again for no reason.

I have shopped at Haverty's for many years, but am disappointed in my experience with this location. I ordered furniture from the sales people in store several months ago, with a specific timeline needed due to the arrival of our baby. I had shopped around and had several furniture options, but chose Haverty's because they assured me of the timeline to get the furniture just in time for baby's arrival. They checked in with me periodically to tell me that they were still on time. Now that the furniture is due to arrive this week, they have pushed back the date a month, leaving me totally out of luck to find another solution. The sales person said she never quoted me the original timeline, although I have it in writing, so I re-shared that to remind them of their original commitment. This was followed quickly by a canned response that there is nothing that can be done to fix the situation. With every issue, there is an opportunity to make it right, and this location is not making any attempt to make it right for me and my family now that they have my money and the sale. We are all dealing with challenges related to COVID, and I understand the supply chain struggles related to the pandemic; however, these challenges were known when I placed the order and I was given poor information that misguided my purchase decision. And ultimately there is never a reason to accuse a customer of making up information and brushing off their concern the way that this location has. I am still hopeful that someone at Haverty's will make some effort to make this right, but until then I can't recommend...
Read moreI will NOT be shopping at Haverty's again. I have been a customer since last year, furnishing my bedroom from your company. I was working on furnishing my living room when I had the most horrible, run around customer service experience. NO ONE has FIXED MY ISSUE and it is a month later. (Haverty's credit card will NOT work online, only in stores) I wanted to place my order online. I prefer doing online to ensure delivery and details are error-free. I tried to purchase my order and I received the error prompt (billing and delivery does not match what Synchrony has on file). I called Synchrony a total of 3 times and customer service as well triple checking that they match and having one company tell me to call the other. Since no one could resolve my issue, the customer service directed me to the store to place my order over the phone. Placing the order over the phone was not favorable as my order was placed incorrectly (wrong delivery window). I went ahead and placed the order on the phone. The worst part is all the information matched, my information I tried to enter at home, and the order can process in store but not online. This is very frustrating as I do not want to have to always go in store when I make a purchase. Additionally, I called both Haverty's and Synchrony Bank today to continue to troubleshoot before I take my business elsewhere. Everything matches on my Haverty's credit account to my online account. The representative told me that because I changed my delivery address (5 minutes prior to the call) that that is why I cannot use my credit card because the addresses don't match. I had this issue last month, Friday and Saturday. My change of address right before the call has no effect on me being able to use my card this weekend because that change was made today. To this moment, I still cannot use my own credit card online. I am taking my money elsewhere. Loved Haverty's until this experience. Don't ask me to get a Haverty's card in store and don't allow me to use it online and not have anyone willing to submit a ticket to fix the issue instead of having me continuously call both companies...
