Coffee Enlightenment is a newly opened coffee shop with a sleek, modern design and a minimalist aesthetic. The space is bright and clean, equipped with high-end coffee machines, and features a welcoming bar counter. The owner is from Colombia, which adds credibility to the coffee expertise, given Colombia’s deep-rooted coffee culture.
A standout feature is the separate roasting room with a large coffee roaster, reinforcing their dedication to fresh, high-quality coffee. The menu covers all the essentials—espresso, cappuccino, latte, flat white—but also offers unique options like coffee with collagen or turmeric, which will likely attract a niche audience. The food selection is limited to a few pastries and tacos, but it complements the concept well.
Since the café is still new, the crowd and atmosphere haven’t fully formed yet. Guests range from remote workers enjoying the quiet space (made even more work-friendly with a printer available) to groups of friends stopping by for a coffee break. Soft, unobtrusive music keeps the space pleasant for both working and socializing.
The owner personally greets customers, engages in conversation, and genuinely listens to feedback, making it feel like the café is still shaping its identity. Over time, as it develops a regular customer base and its own unique energy, this place has the potential to become one of the top coffee spots in the area.
Unlike many new coffee shops that simply replicate the standard café model, Coffee Enlightenment is carving out its own path with innovative drinks and a thoughtful approach. A promising place with plenty of...
Read moreI think I've found my new favorite coffee spot, and it's surprisingly conveniently located and accessible.
I've been obsessed with making great coffee for decades. Every morning, I make myself a pot of siphon coffee with fresh-ground beans. So I was excited to hear that there's a coffee shop in Round Rock makes siphon coffee as well as pour-overs.
Yes, they have all of the other standard coffee configurations that you'll find at other coffee places (espresso, cappuccino, Americano, etc.), but it takes a real love of coffee to have these two options ... and do them well.
For my first visit, I went with a pour-over, and I watched the barista as she prepared it. She did it perfectly, not just dumping all the water into the filter, but allowing the grounds to absorb it and release their essence slowly. Both of my favorite techniques take time, but they're well worth the wait. What you get is a fragrant, full flavor coffee without the bitterness and acidity that most coffee shops are for some reason comfortable with.
The owner, Luis, knows his stuff. He's well-versed in coffee and shares his passion for it with his customers.
In my opinion, you can keep your nasty, bitter Starbucks coffee. This is my new...
Read moreMy experience was based around the sunday morning Waken your senses demo. This is where the the owner Luis would guide a group of people to learn the subtle and nuanced way of detecting the essence in the coffee we drink. From taste to smell, Fragrance and aroma, also all things regarding the life cycle of coffe from farm to market.
As they are still relatively new I watched and listen to the atmosphere around me. The shop was in full rush. However, this did not stop the staff from giving it their all.
The owner carried out them demo with grace. The baristas carried each order out one after another.
After the demo was done and the rush had died down I spent some time chatting with the staff and even gave them a good cheer once the last order was done so they could clean up from the trenches they had been in.
To me it was like watching a play. Underpressure but focused, kind and able to answer general questions, and a rather comfortable atmosphere.
I shall definitely be...
