Let me start by saying this was our first time trying this place. For fast food, 20-30 minute drive is usually a bit far to gander for that quality. That being said, we decided to take that drive to get dinner for the evening.
After a long day, coming to be night time, I arrived at Freddy's around 9pm. I ordered a burger combo along with 2 chicken tender combos. It took about a few minutes to prepare the order as expected. I could see the staff standing around in the restaurant and moving slowly but I stayed patient. When the cashier was giving me food it was all stuffed in a small Togo bag but stuffed in there. So from the looks of it, it seemed small and I asked the cashier as she handed me the bag if it included everything on my order or if I should expect another bag. She shook her head yes that everything should be in there.
I was skeptical and took a quick look in the bag. I saw a few tenders in a french fry box, fries, and a burger box down at the bottom. I think it's all there without actually counting my tenders! So I drive off and later get to my house to my hungry wife and child to arrive with only 2 tenders total! I ordered 2 x 3 piece combos and received only 2 tenders.
You can imagine my wife and child pretty unhappy with me for not checking the bag fully, which I take blame for, and will be better at that moving forward.
That being said, the cashier who told me the bag included my whole order was wrong. The restaurant was too far to take a quick drive back and get the rest of the order so my wife & son being hungry still, she went to P-terrys which is only a few minutes down the road.
I had called Freddy's that night to let them know my issue. No answer, left voicemail with all my info and order #. Never received a call back or money refund. I entered in the feedback from the receipt I was given and then was contacted by Christal, who is the regional manager. Christal sent me 1 email stating she had received my concern and offered to give me a gift card for future use and visits at the restaurant. Given the distance to this place, I really only was/am interested in getting my money back for just the orders I didn't receive! Well, Christal has yet to respond to 2 additional emails asking about a refund and still to this day I haven't received a call back or any other contact from the restaurant.
I will not be back to any Freddy's in the future due to this incident. I hope this helps others who decide to...
Read moreI decided to order the crispy chicken club sandwich with large fries and a soft drink. All three items were top notch. They’re known for the good french fries, but the other two items were beyond expectations.
The soft drink had just the right concentration of flavor. It wasn’t weak in flavor and it was not weak and carbonation. This is just a fast food place, but it was as good as anybody’s soft drink, better than most.
The crispy chicken club came with two strips of bacon, a thin slice of Swiss cheese , lettuce, probably tomato if I remember correctly, and mayonnaise. I thought it was just the right amount of cheese because some chicken clubs overdo it on the cheese. This was not an overly thick slice, plus Swiss tea is of a higher quality than some other places. The actual chicken fillet seemed cooked exactly the right amount. They didn’t overdo it on the mayonnaise, which is another plus. They didn’t underdo it either. The bacon was cooked just right with without any visible white fat like some places have. For example, IHOP and Denny’s has too much fat on their bacon. The strips of bacon were not exceptionally thick either. For my personal taste is perfect because I don’t want excessive bacon on my sandwich. It was enough to add nice flavor without making it unhealthy.
Overall, this is just a fast food place much more reasonably priced than a full-service restaurant, but the quality was better than most fast food places offer.
The staff, while not overly friendly, was not rude in the slightest. They were there to do their jobs, which is all you can expect for their salaries they probably can only pay at a fast food place. They did their jobs perfectly and efficiently just without a lot of excessive friendliness, which is OK in a place like this. At least they were in a reasonable mood.
So I definitely and highly recommend this restaurant for when you want decent quality food for a budget...
Read moreCame to a Freddy's on the 18th of February when approaching the store to pay for my food and an employee decided to put their child on the counter where my drinks and sandwiches were being kept I did not know that Freddy's allowed their employees to bring their children(white child )to work that was very unprofessional to you had your child's but where you have my food that was very unsanitized nasty.on the 2/17 I guess Freddy's does allow the employees to bring their children to work because on the 17th which was President's Day I came inside the store to eat and seen a male bringing his children (2 Male children Hispanic ) into the store he took him straight to the back what if these children would have fell or slipped on wet floor in the back how would he explained that to the company that he had his children on the property these employees Cant afford Daycare for their children? They are Rude I guess he was a higher manager . (Hispanic always wearing a black t-shirt looks about 5'9 male .)because there's been many times that I have gone in there never been greeted properly and always get stared at like if I am a ugly person which I know I am Not!! I'm beautiful !!!! Is more of a Racial Profile Stare !!!! that makes sense !!!!! person but my thing is this y'all might want to not want to eat at this part icular restaurant because again the higher management I'm assuming that's who they are a rude as hell they don't know how to talk properly to a person they do not know where they get the training from but these people need to be Retrained Better on their Customer service Experience !!!
