Dunkin' — Restaurant in Royal Oak

Its been two years since I last visited. My last review is why. This morning I ordered a bagel with cream cheese. I opened it to sprinkle some everything bagel seasoning and was met with disappointment. There was less than a tablespoon of cream cheese on it. Come on, for nearly 2.50 you can afford to be a little more generous! Bagel was good and fresh and tasty though. Service was good. Will be back.

UpdateIts Monday morning and this happened Saturday. But I'm still ticked so here it goes: went just before noon and wanted to try their cranberry apple refresher. I also wanted a cup of coffee so I ordered both. Then I hadn't eaten so I ordered a powdered sugar donut. No powdered sugar donuts. No jelly filled, chocolate filled, or cake donuts. No donut holes. And no suggestions either. It really felt like she didn't want to wait on me. It must be the pandemic effect. That's unfortunate. I am always on top of my good manners so I know I wasn't offensive. She probably got hollered at by other customers.

FYI-coffee was excellent and the refresher was delicious.

The service here is so friendly! Today they didn't mind at all when I added a smoothie to my order at the window. It was an afterthought of mine so I appreciated it. 4 stars instead of 5 only because they gave me flavored coffee instead of regular, but hey...people are human. It was still excellent coffee. Like I said though...the absolute KINDNESS oozing from the folks here is infectious. They always make me want to be kind to the next person...hence the add...

Went through the drive thru for some ice coffee and noticed about 15-20 plastic cups filled with about an inch of black liquid. Had my partner who was driving ask them what was in the cups. Employee confirmed that they are pre made espresso shots then he said “it’s for when we are busy”. I want it noted that we were there at 8am on a Saturday and there was no one inside and no one infront or behind us in the drive thru. Who knows how long those shots have been there just ready and sitting. I could see no markings on them either (granted it was through the drive thru window but still). I’ve worked for multiple coffee shots and espresso shots need to be mixed within 30 seconds with something or they’re considered expired. Also it only takes about 15 seconds to pull 2 espresso shots so why even cut this corner? Also…. Think about the fact they poured hot espresso shots directly into plastic cups with no ice or anything. If they’re cutting corners on a 15 second procedure, where else are they cutting corners? I highly recommend going to Biggby just down 14 mile...

Used to be the best for my donuts for my weekly manager meetings. They are under new management that has caused me to go elsewhere. First time, ordered the night before and when I showed up at 7am to pick up my order they told me they were out of the boxes for coffee. Hard to have coffee and donuts with no coffee. And they had my number and didn't call so I could make other arrangements. Next time, ordered night before, I show up early next morning, no cream cheese for bagels, gave us tiny coffee cups instead the regular size, and instead of putting everything neatly into two large bags, gave me nine little bags. May not seen like much, but the service has really changed. I am writing tonight because I have been trying to order from them one more time and no one will answer the phone for over an hour. So, from now on, I'll use the Donut Hole in Warren. I know they appreciate a $70...
