Goodnite Gracie — Restaurant in Royal Oak

As a huge reviewer for Google that I am and someone who loves visiting an assortment of new restaurants, dives, parks, hikes... etc. I must sat that the service here was less than. From a bartender that was less than professional and inattentive to the music that was far from jazz. I'm talking 70-80s old school vibe and loud for how small the establishment, bar was it was hard to hear my spouse and she was literally sitting next to me.

Oh and let's talk about the service points we were greeted about 10 minutes after we sat got drinks 10 minutes later and was not checked on in over an hour and a half. For 2 bartenders and no more than about 12 guests that's ridiculous. But, maybe if the bartender, yes male stopped hitting on and chasing the young girls that walked in around we would have gotten better service and yeah dude if you see this just know we too saw your service. Furthermore, if your potential customers Google local places and it says intimate jazz bar maybe you wanna change that to poor service, no jazz and we don't wait the table sat customers. I was charged for two glasses of wine after only having one on my first outing with my husband since our baby was born... I certainly could not have drank more than one glass at that point and my husband doesn't drink, so I know for sure we didn't order it! We didn't notice the double charge on the receipt, and even tipped generously (we don't go out to eat often, but when we do we want to treat people well). When I called to correct the mistake, they told me that I would see a refund or get information about it the next day but was never contacted. My availability isn't great to get ahold of them again, but I also feel like I shouldn't have to track them down for something so simple as he took my information and had found the transaction. It's been over a month now and our lives are too crazy to deal with this, but I feel pretty bothered by it, and will certainly not be going back now unless I magically hear from someone. We were looking for a smooth night out. Something with a little swanky, with some classy, and a little bit of jazz. We found it. They had a small jazz trio playing, music was sultry, warm, Smith and yet sofiticated.

We went for dinner, Marv was our sever. He was friendly, inviting, and had a sense of humor. We ordered some drinks and asked what would be good choices for dinner. He described several. He stated why he enjoyed each choice. We took a few minutes and made our selection.The food did not disappoint. They were just as Marv had mentioned. We ordered the Cavatppi, which had soft pieces of chicken in a light cream sauce over padta and the Sunday's Gravy. It is made we a wonderful rich tomato sauce, with roasted tender brisket severed over pasta. Both were yyuummyy. Wanted more, or course, we did not need to order more. We had just enough to take home as a little snack.

We were enjoying ourselves so much that we stayed until closing. Would definitely recommend them to family...
