Nicky Ds Coney Island — Restaurant in Royal Oak

Saturday morning 1/27/2018 @ 11:00 My family and I, were sat at a four top table closest to the door in the front of the restaurant. We were met with a female server who had two french braids worn towards the back with black hair coloring and heavy piercing. We had a total four plates and (3) sodas and( 1)coffee. This young lady failed to return to the table. To see if any of the drinks needed to be refilled. Let me explain she dropped the order off, and failed to return even to bring our check. Much less any drinks. Finally, after 25/30 minutes. I had to request for the server to come and attend to the table. Who was literally standing four feet from the cash register holding a conversation intensely with another server. Let me say after looking around there were three other tables in the dining room that had not been attended to. The four top behind us had a ton of dishes sitting on top of the table which had not been picked up. This made for a horrible experience. Not even to mention the time it took this young lady to bring our carry out containers to the table which was a additional ten minutes. This was a horrible dining experience knowing that "The International Pancake House" was less than a mile away. I definitely could have found a better way to spend 45 additional minutes on a Saturday morning. Then waiting on my check, and watching CNN on the Coney Island's...

Such an odd experience. So many good memories when it was Athens.

We had a wide selection of foods. Most were mediocre-the coney, the club sandwich, the fried chicken wrap.

An interesting note on the chicken. For the wrap we got "fried". It was crystal clear, and confirmed by the waitress, that this is freezer chicken cooked in an oven. If I got this "fried" chicken from a gas station and microwaved it, I'd still be disappointed after lowering my standards. Abysmal.

On the Greek salad we got the "marinated" or "grilled" chicken, can't remember what it was called. Now... This was excellent! Maybe the best chicken I've ever had on a salad. A+, 10/10, top notch. If you told me an old Greek lady prepared it every day fresh with an ancient guarded award winning recipe, I'd believe it.

Its just funny that they ask, for both, "fried or marinated chicken" and don't let you know "one is cheap generic horrible fried chicken, and the other is what is literally served on Mt. Olympus".

So go for the marinated chicken, everything...

I went to Nicky Ds during dream cruise weekend. This rating is based only on the dream cruise menu. GM Dealers told us to come on down all weekend but I wish I hadn't gone Sunday. First I love that they had a dream cruise menu. I hate that you couldn't order from the regular menu. I wanted to eat healthier and the options were limited. There were no breakfast options either. The sandwiches only came with chips which were super STALE! They should've given individual bags or opened a fresh bag each day. Thise tasted like they were opened Friday and never sealed. My friend and her son were visiting from out of town and this was the spot he chose. He loved the fries...that earned them one star. Our waitress was polite, nice and order was accurate...star 2. We were hungry and our food arrived quickly...star 3

I feel like I have to go back with the regular menu to give them a better rating. I understand why they had the limited menu but it could've...
