Hmmm...Guy at counter was rude, there was no Russian dressing on the sandwich, only given sides of it which were paid for, even though the website states clearly 'This sandwich has Russian Dressing on it'. Perhaps, they thought we only wanted it on the side, even though that would've required a little poetic license on their part. Guy at the front goes 'here ya go', no 'thank you', or smile, nothing. That being said, except for not getting the dressing on the sandwich we paid for, the food was delicious. Al's food may be famous, but this experience was not. "Thank you" is a baseline for anyone in service, as I am, myself. Hell, I say thank you even when people come in and don't buy things. Ya know, common courtesy. Put the dressing on sandwiches, please, if it's comes with it on the menu. Thanks, Al

I was curious to see if the quality would remain from the former Al’s. I say yes. The dated interior has been refreshed with new almost everything. They’ve managed to add more seating and almost every surface area is new. It feels so much cleaner. My favorite sandwiches are the pastrami. It feels like the perfect combo of fat & meat like a good smoked brisket should. In addition to sandwiches they offer many sides that you’d find in a typical NYC Jewish deli ranging from halva to smoked meats. While the food is tasty some things I find just over priced. $4 for a can of soda…that’s game day prices. The staff is helpful and friendly. Food is served promptly. The name might have changed but at least the goodness has not.

First time coming in here and, they let me sample the corned beef meat and, it was delicious! I had to get the Corned beef club. The beef is tender and so flavorful, bread was toasted, slaw was perfect, with Swiss, and Russian dressing on the side. Pickles was still nice and crunchy too! The club was huge, but I finished it all- it was so good! Super friendly people, and cozy atmosphere, they have booths and tables and drinks. Definitely know here’s where to get my little piece of NYC! Taste just like it does in Brooklyn.

Off the bat, this place has amazing food. It’s such a shame because my family and I have been coming to this deli for years. I was confused since something I had ordered food on a third party app from them and one of the food items I ordered was out. Correction actually, my entire meal was out. The dasher when dropping off my food told me to call the deli for a refund, so that’s exactly what I did. I called and politely inquired about the refund and immediately the guy had an attitude and yelled at me because apparently he tried to reach out to me before the food was sent out but couldn’t find my number anywhere, though i’m not sure where my number would’ve been for him to find??? also (not sure how that is my fault considering I ordered third party?) On top of all of that, i’m not sure why he didn’t ask that my dasher call or text me then on his behalf? I was baffled as to why I was being berated, but I bit the dust on that one since I understand the third party stuff can be confusing and the rest of the phone call I remained calm and polite, wasn’t really worth it and wanted it to end. I also was just failing at attempting to explain the entire ordeal, but he very obviously had no intention of listening. After I explained to them that I didn’t mean to bother and the only reason I called was because I was directly informed to call them for refund, I was cut off mid talking and was told while being yelled at in the most condescending and rude way that “THEY WOULD NEVER EVER SAY THAT” (in terms of the dasher telling me to call the restaurant) and that i’m the one on my own free will who chose to call, and that I should be bothering the third party app customer support and not him. More or less insinuating that I was lying. Not sure why I would choose to waste my time calling a place all for the sake of a “lie”. At this point I was on the verge of tears and quickly told them to have a good night so the call could cease, to which they immediately hung up the other line in radio silence. I really don’t understand how the phone call could not have been treated with bare minimum kindness. This situation really stung a bit because we have had such wonderful past experiences, upon reading other reviews though I see that it’s not an isolated incident. I guess it’s time to find a...

What used to be my favorite place to get a corned beef is no longer! There is new management and the food is not the same. My typical order is a corned beef on grilled rye with Swiss cheese and mustard. I also order a side of Cole slaw to make the sandwich more juicy. Well I've been there three times under the new management and each time my sandwich was extremely dry and so was the Cole slaw. The second time I patronized I ordered three sandwiches and three slaws. I took the slaw back for a refund and via conversation, found they intentionally pour the juice off the slaw before packing in individual containers…… slaw is SUPPOSED TO BE WET! Who the hell eats dry Cole slaw?!?! Was in the area today and decided to give them a try again. Asked for the marble end to see if that would make a difference in the sandwich not being dry. I passed on ordering the slaw when I noticed it was sitting in the cooler dryer than the Sahara desert along with dry macaroni salad, dry corn and dry green beans packaged with no juice. I’m convinced they are catering to folks with a preschool palate. If it weren’t for the Cole slaw I picked up from Chicken Shack, I would have had another unsatisfactory customer experience. Unfortunately this was three too many. I will no longer patronize this...

Yeah......I had EXTREMELY high expectations due to what I had heard about this place. Ordered a Turkey Reuben, a Triple Decker BLT (no tomato), and an order of French Fries. Total bill .was just over $29.00. 1st: The BLT was atrocious. For the price you pay I would expect to have a nice amount of bacon. Not Tony's level (which is disgusting), but much more than I received. I am sorry I did not take a picture. Bread seemed to be Wonder or comparable. 2nd: the Reuben was stacked high with turkey, but the bread on one side was not grilled sufficiently. You have one job. Make a "good" sandwich. I also asked for an extra-side of dressing. That was forgotten.....but that has nothing to do with this review....and I would totally live with it if the food was as good as I expected it to be. 3rd: the fries were not even passable as "fries", they were barely cooked and soggy. No effort whatsoever here. I will...
