Delta Hand Pies — Restaurant in Sacramento

I am usually unreasonably picky when it comes to baked goods, especially pie crust, and I can say without a doubt that these are the best little pies I've ever tasted. I'm a home-baker who used to sell her bakes, I also used to work at a well-known Sacramento bakery, and Delta Hand Pies blows everyone out of the water. I was honestly a little sad that finally there was a crust recipe that far surpassed mine and my expectations. I don't think I could ever match it and I'm totally fine with that.

I got a few of each: savory fajita, Eureka lemon, strawberry jam with brie, local organic pink lady apple. The filling was perfect, not squishing out, and each were filled with flavor. The crust is buttery and flaky, and WELL-SALTED, which is key, usually a component missing from most bakery pie crust recipes I've found.

I'll be placing another order ...right now! they have a bunch of savory ones this week and I'm going to try them all and also take some to a family function.

Also stoked to potentially place an order of these little guys for my wedding next year.

It's just quality stuff and I'm excited to see this business thrive and continue making innovative flavors/fillings with their perfect...

I live in Roseville California and I am in love with Delta hand pies! The ordering process was a breeze. I wanted some more information so I messaged the seller and he was very responsive. I ordered one of each kind just to get a sample. They showed up on my porch on Friday exactly as expected. The hand pies were carefully packaged in paper and were cold to the touch. I love that the packaging isn't a bunch of plastic and styrofoam. I microwaved the broccoli and cheese hand pie for lunch and the pastry was flaky and it was delicious! I was so happy and I still wanted more so I opened the Eureka lemon pie and ate it cold. It, too, was really delicious with a lovely tart lemon filling, flavorful and not overly sweet. I will definitely be ordering more Delta hand pies in the future and I look forward to sampling all of the flavors. Every other facet of my life I make questionable decisions, but FOOD? That’s a different story. Came across Delta Hand Pies as a Facebook ad and thought hmmm, convenient size, various flavors, what’s the worst thing that could happen for trying? Listen I want to tell you don’t try them to keep a pie reserve for myself, but if you like to eat, and enjoy the convenience of a delectable handful of deliciousness then you’ve found what you need! I ordered both savory and sweet and now have to adjust my budget because not just me, but my 12 year old picky eater and I have decided they are worth the investment.
