This restaurant is a huge let down. We were excited by the vegetarian section of the menu, but were disappointed by the offerings. The Dan Dan noodles were just udon noodles with peanut butter on top. No sauce, no vegetables. Just watery peanut butter. The server even asked us to mix the noodles ourselves. The vegetarian dumplings were insipid.
Worse still was the atmosphere of the restaurant. All dishes are served on disposable plastic (including silverware, red Solo cups for water, and take-away containers instead of plates). The bathroom was "out of order" for customers, so I had to walk across the street to wash my hands. It's one thing to have this style for a take-away joint, but if you're going to offer table service, plastic flatware seems a bit lazy.
Perhaps the meat-based offerings are tastier but I certainly would not recommend this place to vegetarians, or people who want a comfortable dining experience. One wants to believe in the authenticity of hole-in-the-wall places, but this experience was very...

I saw this business profiled in a periodical and decided to hit it on the way home. It's in downtown so I knew the parking would be a challenging issue. It's a good thing they only did take about 10 minutes to prepare our order because we waited in a no parking(?) spot in front of the establishment. And the employee was kind enough to bring it to our car. There's room inside for a few families to sit. And you have the outside seating.
My Kim chee potstickers weren't as expected since I was actually expecting a Kim chee taste but did not. There was a piece of lettuce inside the meat but no kim chee flavor which was the main reason for ordering it. However, I still enjoyed them especially with the side dip.
I think it's worth trying something else at this restaurant. They are creative with their dumplings/potstickers which I appreciate. And I think you pay a little more for that creativity, but you also get good...
Read moreI love dumplings and I love honest customer service especially being that I'm a customer servant myself. I ordered the vegetable dumplings. They came out tasty and fresh. I may return for those.
I also ordered the honey walnut shrimp. Unfortunately it took forever to come out. I waited while everyone else in line after my order was placed got their food, even randoms walking in off the street for lunch got swifter service.
The quality of the honey walnut shrimp dish was lacking. The batter was thick and was saturated in grease. I could only eat one before calling it quits from a bubbling stomach with heart burn to follow.
My honest thoughts on this restaurant is stick to the dumplings and take it to go! Make sure to get extra sauce.
As for the service. It was okay. They seat you and then you have to return to the kiosk to order. Its a confusing set up for a first...
