Pizza Guys — Restaurant in Sacramento

3/30/24 I had drove 15 minutes from my home area (Arden) to order takeout from this location. My husband had ordered the 2 large pizza special, and mentioned that he wanted our pizza half and half, cut in squares and cooked well done. Not hard to comprehend or do, but unfortunately the night workers were loud and rude. They had told him that they did NOT want to cut the pizza into squares because it’ll make their job harder. One of the workers name Johnathan persists on telling my husband that “why not just get one pizza with 2 toppings and the other with the other toppings?”. I cannot eat any red sauce, I have to eat white sauce due to my medical condition. So the workers refused to listen to our requests, and so my husband had let me know and I had went inside the establishment to discuss this matter with both workers. Johnathan still persist to laugh it off and be rude about it then told me my husband was lying. He was making our pizza while I was discussing my customization on my order. I even referenced the options that are given online when you order. He didn’t seem to care and still continued to laugh it off. So then I waited till it was done and went inside to grab our order. I checked and still he refused to cut our pizza into squares. He even went as far as arguing with me over it, and continued to tell me my husband was lying. The manager was there and was calm about it, but the worker was persistent on arguing with me even though the manager was right there. The manager tried to compensate me but my children were with me and I was not going to wait any longer for pizza, especially with rude customer service. Update 2/18/2024 I reached out to Tho and didn't recieve a response back. Clearly the request to give them another chance was to make it APPEAR as if they are concerned about customer satisfaction. Clearly it isn't that, it is for show. Save your money and go elsewhere. The quality vs. cost is not worth it.

I have been eating Pizza Guys for over 25 years. I moved to Sacramento from Pittsburg, CA where I NEVER had a bad order from Pizza Guys in all those years. I just had the worst pizza of my life, literally. If I could give a zero star I would. We have ordered here before and it was just ok in comparison to our past experiences but today was downright awful.

First off it was cold, really?! I live very close by. It had too much sauce, I couldn't locate the cheese, it was all meat pizza, meat was missing, mushrooms were scanty and NOT fresh.

Pizza Guys is known for their freshness of their ingredients, not at this establishment. My salad had old onions on it too and it ruined the flavor of the rest of the salad.

I ordered Dr. Pepper Zero and was given regular Dr. Pepper. All of this with a total of $67, outrageous!!!

This experience has ruined my confidence in this chain now. It is way too expensive for this...

Pizza Guys always has really great pizza with fresh ingredients. I usually order pick up at this location, and their prices are very reasonable and affordable especially if you take advantage of coupons and deals. They also allow you to take a 2 liter of you spend 25 or more, which I think is really nice. I don't personally drink soda, but my family does, so they enjoy it. I have never had a problem with my order in the many times I've come here. The staff are always sweet, professional, and friendly. They always remind me of their soda promotion and ask if I'd like to pick out a soda, and they also always ask if I would like any condiments. The neighborhood is a little rough but I live out here so it is nothing new to me. My only complaint is that the new website is a little confusing to order and navigate. Deals are not really displayed in a manner where you can see what the deal is, so you have to add it to your cart. But other than that, I really like coming here and I will continue...
