This place amazed me! It’s almost as if they don’t abide by the laws of physics.
I’ve been going here before and service is always consistently good, but today just blew me away. This place must be very well managed and staff is extremely well trained.
It started when we were seated. It was busy and several people were in front of us, but the receptionist found way to find us and get us to sign in.
We sat down and before I could even warm my seat up they already had a table ready despite how packed the place was.
After seating us they got our order within a minute.
What amazed me was it felt like as soon as I gave the server my order, I took one glance at my phone I looked up and the food was ready in an instant.
It really amazed me.
The people to might left, and as soon as they stood up, the busboy took the plates, cleaned the table and got it ready within a minute or so.
Staff was friendly enough and very attentive. Everything went like clockwork. The lady was able to check on us several times despite how busy the place was.
I’ve seen so many other restaurants encounter the same kind of rush hour traffic and they start struggle and Ryujin just cruises through it.
Really great job to the management and the...
Read moreWhile it is our choice to drive 40-45 minutes just to get a taste of this place, I can say that it was not worth the trip. It's not because we had a bad service or we found something on our food, etc. It's not worth it because it tasted just ''okay''. My boyfriend is half Japanese and we both came from Hawai'i which has a lot of Japanese authentic ramen houses. I guess we just got used to seeing and knowing that when you open a ramen house, you're expecting the whole staff to be Japanese but that is not the case here. We're surprised that almost all of them ( we think ) were Chinese, and that's odd but of course, we don't know if the owner is Japanese or not.... ( just to be clear, I'm half chinese and NO I'm not being racist ).
The service was fast and they were friendly. The taste of the food, however, is just okay. The soup doesn't taste that rich and savory. The noodles looked like top ramen noodles ( that's not what kind of ramen noodles we know ). The other components is alright, as well as the takoyaki and karaage.
This place could use more of the authentic components of what a real ramen noodles look and tastes like. If you live far away and want some ramen, I'd look else where. It's not the worst...
Read moreWent to this Ramen House twice. The first visit was about 3 years ago, it wasn't very memorable and not impressive so I did not have any interest in coming back. I went back for the second time since I had to drop something off at the UPS store just down the street. Dinner started at 5pm and we were first in line. My daughter ordered Katsu Don which is the pork cutlet over rice. I ordered their original Shiro Tonkotsu Ramen. They were at most, mediocre. The Ramen was not very flavorful. It had three thinly sliced pork and it was mostly fat which I hate fat. That went to waste. The soup was very bland and noodles were a little on the hard side. The only good thing was the seasoned egg. The Katsu don was okay. The main flavor was the tonkatsu sauce poured all over the rice. Again, the meat was very fatty even though it was heavily breaded. The whole meal was a regret. The only thing I enjoyed was the hot sake. But even that was very low quality. $50 could have been enjoyed elsewhere. Not coming back. Very underwhelmed and disappointed. Service was attentive but it was very rushed. They really wanted you out as soon as possible so they can sit...
