Today is Monday July the 7th I was an Old Sacramento doing a photoshoot we were all done went down to vampire penguin I knew you guys are closed no notices to why call the phone number of doll in Spanish nothing on the website or on the phone number saying why you're closed it was very disappointing my grandson and I were both looking forward to it the person I was taking pictures of has never tried vampire penguin so she was excited so we're all very disappointed that you weren't open with no explanation you need to update your phone number or change the voicemail to English put a note on the door or something to say why you weren't open today or that you would be open later we waited and waited and waited poor way to do business especially in Old Sacramento but thankfully there were other ice cream shops in Old Sacramento that got my business not what I wanted but...
Read moreWow and yummy! This place has some of the coolest concoctions for ice cold deserts on a hot summer day. Everything from your favorite boba tea flavor, some of the best shaved Ice in town. They have ice cream and these awesome new treats called dragons breath. It is freeze dried frozen balls of something that when you pop them in your mouth like one or two and they begin to melt, it creates a bellowing cloud that you slowly just let roll out the mouth. And it makes you look like a fire breathing dragon about to pop smoke!!. Also they have a huge selection on other delicious treats and it’s all 100% summer approved:

Read moreOur family loves Vampire Penguin and we've been to many different locations. This is by far the worst one we've been too. The prices are more expensive and the serving sizes are smaller than the original dine-in stores.
I understand that this is a to-go type Vampire Penguin (which is served in cups and not on plates), but the smaller serving sizes and the higher prices really takes away from the quality experience we normally have at a dine-in location.
They also charge $1 for ice water, which is usually free at 99% of all restaurants in the world, and the lids that they put on the cups are dirty, which was not appetizing as they are clear plastic. It was not the shaved ice cream that dirtied the lids, they came dirty.
