I have been going to this place since they open. One of the first customers. I liked both owners and I think they’re great people. I was so disappointed this week as last week I asked for 5 eclairs that I like , but the girl upfront said they were not ready but they could make them for me and pick them up later. And so I did pay in advance and went. I totally forgot to pick them up and to my surprise I never got a call like I do when I order pies to go pick them up. I went to get them today which was 4-5 days later ( partially my fault) and they said that since I forgot they had to check with the owner. Elizabeth told me that basically it was my fault and I shouldn’t expect a refund, and I apologized saying that yes it was my fault , but they should’ve also called me . She admitted that it was her employee’s fault as well for not taking my phone number. She then told me that since I am a business owner I should know that I’d be out that money, so “I should understand her point of view”. Again I apologized and paid again today for two croissants when they pocketed $19.75 and never gave me the goods. I would’ve never left my customer out and dry considering that we keep the business going. Business 101. I was ok if she would refund me at least half but she didn’t . Very disappointed considering that I referred so many of my friends there. The customer is very important to us and in my business even when they brought perishable food a week later I ate the loss because I need them for good not just one day. Not good for the business, remember the first customers, those are the ones that build your reputation. Very disappointed. Those eclairs are $3.95 each if you multiply by 5 it’s almost $20 . Taking partial responsibility would’ve been the right thing to do and...
Read moreThis place used to be so good and now it's so bad. I'm not sure what happened, but they can't get orders right and their staff is super rude if you express an issue with anything. My wife brought home some muffins this morning. Got home and opened the bag to find that they gave her the wrong stuff. She had to drive back up there to get the correct items and the cashier asked her where the incorrect items were and that they needed them back. My wife asked her whether they were going to resell something that had left the store in someone else's possession and the lady said they might. So, in the midst of a PANDEMIC this is their policy. My wife returned the item later and the cashier got very rude with her again. Nevermind the fact that my wife had to come back twice due to this employee's mistake.
It's unfathomable to think that this is how the owner of this once nice establishment wants her business represented, but she clearly doesn't care. The last time I was there, I called ahead 15 minutes before arrival because we were in a rush. Placed my order for a quiche and a muffin. When I arrived the cashier (different person this time) informed me that they would need to warm it up and to give them 10-15 minutes to get it ready. I told her that's why I called ahead and explained that I was in a rush. She said she forgot to put in my order and that I could just warm it in a microwave. The owner was there and saw that I was clearly irritated and said nothing. So, she clearly does not care whether her customers are satisfied with the product and service provided. With that in mind, my family will never spend a dime in this...
Read moreWas hoping I found a good bakery. Got a chocolate croissant and a cinnamon roll. The croissant tasted like it was a day old. I eat them a lot in Europe (literally just got back) so I know what a fresh one tastes like. Didn't taste fresh at all.
The cinnamon roll really tasted off. This is another thing I get often and I don't know if they put something in it but it was weird. I couldn't even finish it.
On top of that, we had to wait for these items. I see a lot of negative reviews mention service issues and I guess they haven't figured that out yet. The other employees were very busy with more complicated orders but there was no one else behind us on line. It would have taken the cashier 10 seconds to get our two items out of the case and hand it to us. Instead, she proceeds to make boxes although there's already a massive stack of empty boxes. She also just kind of stared off into space.
We had to wait for one of the other employees to finish their complicated orders to get to ours. Was it the end of the world for us? No. But it just shows that there's still service issues there. They don't care about...
