I was super pleased with Tony's for breakfast both times I ate there. At Tony's breakfasts start at 4.99 for basic 2, 3, and 4 item breakfasts. Popular plates with a extra item such as pancakes or hashbrowns fall in at the 7 dollar range. Tony's has full sit down table service and the waitresses seem friendly and strive to get you your food quickly. My experience here was quite pleasant with a 3 egg breakfast that looked clean and appetizing as it was placed infront of me. My first impression of my appealing plate was thay they care about presantation and that food was cooked properly. It takes a skilled cook with experiance to get the 3 or 4 item plates all to finish cooking at the same moment so they can land on the plate with in seconds of each other and then zipped out to the hungry diner. With different cooking times for each item the cook has to precisely know at what moment to drop the toast and at what moment to drop the eggs and when to drop the hashsbrowns to get the items to complete cooking in concert with each other. When this happens correctly you end up with quite a nice little symphony on your plate. We have all been to restaurants where the symphony did not happen and your eggs were cooked right but the toast finished to early and was cold and/or the hashbrowns cooked too long and ended up crisp/burnt or soggy. I am happy to say the cook's morning symphony played and played well the two mornings I was there. What did get out of the cooks symphony? To me it comes down to those first couple of bites when you say to yourself,... ahh,.. this is good!... And for a few moments of my day I am transported to that pleasant land where everything is perfect...the warm buttery toast crunches nicely in my mouth....yokes of my eggs break open beautifully and blend perfectly with my salt and pepper and fully...
Read moreWe are new to the area and thought we would try Tony's instead of fast food. Thinking this could be our go to place. I ordered over the phone to pick up on my way home from work. I asked for extra sour cream and A1 sauce with our order. I drove up to window to get my order. Everything was stapled or double knotted. Big sign on window says to check order before you leave. I could not get it open and girl said do not worry it is all there. When i got home, we did not get extra items that she assured me was in there. We ordered a side of mac n cheese. The small styrofoam coffee cup size was not even half and it was just noodles! I called to complain. The owner said they buy boxed mac and cheese from Walmart and add water. I said someone forgot the cheese! She did offer to reimburse the mac n cheese if I brought it back. Why would I put myself out for 3 tablespoons of noodles? I purposely ordered to get on my way home as not to go back out. She had an excuse for everything which said was not an excuse. I said that is ok, I will just write a review. She said I would be one of the few. Not by what I read. BTW, the "famous" steak and cheese has a red tomato sauce over ground meat patties. That is not described...
Read moreI never make reviews, but with this experience I had to.. read this before you come here. Food was good, It’s the customer service that is absolutely disappointing. I pulled up to the window drive thru and already had to wait 5 min for someone to come help me. The lady comes to the window and just opens it, looks at me and gives me this “ what do you want” type of look... and says nothing... no “hello”, no “ how can I help you” ... just looks at me. So disrespectful. And me being a restaurant manager and having to deliver excellent customer service on a daily basis, this experience alone was very disappointing and shocking. And on top of that, they forgot an item in my order. I hate to even contact them again to go get it... Won’t be back. Not to mention after I placed my call in order I called back to get a total because they didn’t give it to me the first time, the lady answers says “ hold on” and I sat on the phone for 5 minutes on hold and no one came back. I will spend my money elsewhere. I think businesses these days forget that the food can be good and all, but when you suck at customer service, it can and will still drive customers away. Looking at these other comments, i’m not the only one who...
