This was my first time visiting the St. George Kneaders, although I'm a frequent patron of Kneaders in other cities. This location is on par with all other locations - very consistent food quality, service, and atmosphere - all of which are very good.
The food is always scrumptious - really, the best sandwiches just about anywhere, and you can't go wrong with any selection (you owe it to yourself to try them all eventually!). I had the chicken pesto sandwich this time, and it is a perfect compliment of flavors. Unfortunately, they really skimped on the pesto, so I had to go ask for some more. We also ordered the French dip (Awesome! Probably the best you can get), and the turkey, bacon, and avocado (a staple dish that we select whenever we go). They always put so much turkey on it that it won't fit in one's mouth without some serious squishing. Also, the white bean chicken chili is an absolute favorite of mine, but like all Kneaders, they only serve it barely warm, so you need to ask them to microwave it to get it steaming warm. Also, make sure you get a dessert - that's one of the main reasons for coming here (kind of like going to the carnival and not getting cotton candy!).
The atmosphere is cozy and it's rarely packed, so dining feels relaxed. They have a nice fireplace too, but being St George, how often do they turn it on?? The tables are a bit small for a party of four, and they are mounted to the floor, so you can't push two together.
The service is genuinely friendly, but pretty slow - from the order taking to the food delivery. But hey, it's a relaxed dining environment and slowness can easily be overlooked, especially when dining with friends or family, which is how you are supposed to enjoy your Kneaders experience in the first place. As always, highly...
Read moreAlmost was sent with a bitten into sandwich!!I just got back from picking up my online order at the Bluff street location. I ordered 2 mac & cheese, a mac & cheese sandwich, chicken croissant sandwich, 2 chocolate bombs & a lemon tart. It told me it would be done at 1:58. So I was there at 1:55, I waited for 30 minutes nobody helped or talked to me. The lady working the register was older with reddish hair, she was all over the place, the lady in front of me had to come back a couple times cause she was missing some items & she was given the wrong sandwich. she said she took a bite & saw it was a mac & cheese sandwich & not her tuna melt. so the bit into sandwich was put back on the counter, then I asked the cashier if my order was even ready yet after waiting 30 minutes, she said oh did nobody talk to you we are all out of mac & cheese. I was very upset waiting 30 minutes to be told that! so then I asked well if you are all out how did the lady in front of me get mac & cheese, she said she would double check, guess what they had plenty! And mine was already ready just sitting on the counter! So I watched her start bagging my order & she put the bitten into sandwich in my bag!! I asked her if that was the eaten one, she opened it & tossed it in the trash & had them make a new one!!! Then she started to put a chicken panini in instead of the chicken croissant! I had to stop her again!!!. Then I checked my bag she still forgot the bread & my desserts. The whole thing to pick up my order took 1 hour!! One lady just wanted to buy a loaf of bread she stood at the counter waiting a little over 20 minutes, she just left & alot of customer's said they weren't coming back & customer's apologizing to me seeing all that I...
Read moreMy wife and I were driving back from San Diego to our home in American Fork. We were exhausted and chose to stop here because we wanted to get food somewhere fast and yummy. We pulled into the drive through Monday 18 Oct 2022 at 18:22. We ordered two chicken, cheese, and ham sandwiches. We asked that the ciabatta bread be switched with asiago cheese bread and that the sandwiches be pressed. We also ordered a kids meal and paid $1.99 for an extra apple juice.
We were the only people in the drive-thru and when I ran in to go to the bathroom I saw no other customers in the restaurant, but I did notice four employees sitting around chatting and . It took them 18 minutes to make and deliver our food (I know the exact times because my autistic son wears a GPS tracker that updates his location every 10 seconds). I don't know why they took so long, but it seemed like the sandwiches had been sitting there for a long time. They were no longer hot, which was the whole point of pressing them.
Once we were back on the freeway, we noticed that they had ignored our request and had given us ciabatta bread and we also discovered that they only gave us one apple juice even though they billed for two. We called to ask for a $1.99 refund seven times that night and three times the next morning finally someone answered on the last time and said the manager would call me. They never did.
I love Kneaders. I met my wife at the Lindon Kneaders. It is normally a great experience. But somehow this Kneaders even with a ratio of four staff and no customers cannot be prompt, cannot get my order right, and cannot...
