TLDR; Group order on their website, waited for hours and never received food. Called and spoke w/ different people who told us different things. Got tired of waiting for food and just had no lunch.
A couple of my coworkers and I ordered food for delivery through their website around 10:45 am. The website informed us that the food would be delivered by 11:20, but we never received our food. Giving the benefit of the doubt, we continued to wait. My coworker called the restaurant around 12, almost 1, for an update and was told that someone did pick up our food for delivery, again we informed them that our food never arrived, even with specific directions. My coworker was informed that we will get our money back and, if we'd like, they will input the order again and deliver it with no charge, which we accepted, this was at 1:10 pm. 2:20 rolls around and again, nothing. We called the restaurant again for an update and spoke directly w/ the manager. This was when we were informed that we had to input the order ourselves on the website. It's quite frustrating to be told different things from different people. Manager (Jay?) suggested we call back in 10 minutes to speak w/ the supervisor/manager Paris regarding the 2nd delivery. In the end, after discussing it with one another, we just decided to decline the food. Not sure how my coworkers felt, but I was left feeling hangry and highly disappointed w/ Erbert & Gerberts.
The experience might be different for customers who order take out or dine in, but the delivery option via their website is not it and from others' reviews, we are not...
Read moreI had the absolute best customer service experience I've ever had in a fast food establishment. Upon entering, a tall man greeted me as he was clearing tables. The woman who took my order had a terrific smile and was sweet to me even when I changed my order. The female manager who had to correct the order I changed was super nice about it and had the previous woman immediately start making sandwiches to keep business moving along. When my order was ready I picked up the sandwiches and the tall man was right there next to me and handed me napkins before I even thought to ask. He continued walking around the restaurant cleaning, straightening chairs, picking up trash, cleaning the soda machine and filling the chips. I was very impressed with all the terrific service and cleanliness so I approached the tall man to tell him. He thanked me and also referred me to his manager, Sabi. The manager finished up taking an order and then removed his food prep apron and came around the counter to talk with me. I'm sure he was expecting a customer complaint since it's likely why most people want to speak to the manager, but I have nothing but praise for everyone at this restaurant. Read moreA month ago I ordered delivery from E&G. I specifically asked and requested that NO CHEESE or ANY DAIRY be on my wife's sandwich, she is very allergic. When the sandwiches arrived, her sandwich seemed to have EXTRA CHEESE??! I called and explained and the guy on the phone, offered a credited sandwich for a future visit. I agreed, gave my name and # and made my wife something different to eat.
This weekend I remembered I had a credit and called to order. They did not have my name recorded, but the person taking the order said, "I can still send you out a freebee." I thought the response was rude, but okay. I ordered. Half an hour passes, I call to say I live 3 blocks away, is there a problem? His response was, "my pin-head driver must have made you the last stop."
After an hour of waiting for a (1) sandwich, I called to cancel and let them know how I felt.
