BeachZone Ice Cream & Shaved Ice — Restaurant in Saint Pete Beach

I saw a review about the bad customer service and being rude about samples so I wanted to add my two cents on that as well because we experienced the same. The customer service is awful and both my husband and I are small business owners. We came in with our four year old and after my son’s first sample we coldly got told there were only two samples per person. One, we get ice cream all of the time and have never been to a place that does that but two, if that’s your policy then whatever, but HOW you talk to your customers about those policies matters. If there are others that are saying the same thing then maybe you all have some room to work on your customer service. We literally offered to go somewhere else and I regret paying and tipping because not once did we feel welcomed. We also got in twenty minutes before they closed but they tied up all of their chairs so we had nowhere to sit outside so we sat on the curb and then they turned the lights off on us. There are plenty of ice cream shops in the area that are much busier for a reason, go to those.

Also note: to the owner who responded to this review saying we destroyed property…that is a blatant lie and it is disgusting you need to stoop that low to try to save your reputation instead of taking full accountability on your terrible business practices. As a fellow small business owner as well, you should be ashamed...

The owner was so very rude. We drove over 30 minutes to come for snowballs, walked into the establishment to find no employees in the building. And also just for context, ZERO customers in sight. So we decided to start munching on our to go food that we'd ordered from next store OUTSIDE of the establishment while we wait for someone to come back.

The owner walked up from another store and told us we need to move that we cannot have other food outside of his store. We explained we came for snowballs but no one was there and were waiting for him to arrive and still he told us even if we purchase we are not allowed to have other food near his store and was not kind about it. (Mind you again no one there that we were taking space, we were paying customers, and this is not food that he sells either)

I used to love this place so much so that we take the drive to get snowballs, but will never entertain this store again with how he...

The owner was very rude and disrespectful to my daughter. She was crying by the time we left when she explained the flavoring on her shaved ice tasted off after one bite. I tried to exchange and there was nothing but disrespect. Over priced and poor service.

We did not ask for a refund we ask the owner kindly to check his flavor to ensure it was good and asked for a new flavor. He stated we can have our money back and leave the store with nothing or take Cherry. We tried to explain and ask why she couldn't just get a new shaved ice which was ice, flavor and a Plastic cup for $9. He got irate and said we had to purchase a new one. No worries we found a great place 5 minutes down the road. Cheaper, amazing customer service, friendly and better quality. You can see all the reviews are similar.
