Food was delicious and inside service was excellent. What lost the 5th star was due to the drive thru. I first went around to get drive thru service. However, the menu was covered with signs stating that due to failure with speaker to please drive up to window to order. Problem #1) Couldn't read the menu before pulling up due to all the notices posted about speaker problem. #2) No one was paying attention to the drive thru to take an order. Sat for 5 minutes and honked several times. Finally had to park and go inside.
Update** Visited again. Had Shrimp Plate! Service still a bit iffy, but know they are trying to keep amount of workers down to a minimum. Probably needed one more worker to expedite the orders. Gave me lemonade instead of the Pepsi I ordered. Also was out of Dr. Pepper. The most popular drink and didn't order enough. So while food is good, the service and management team still need a lot of work. Also week ago visited. Took 45 minutes for their salmon platter claiming Salmon took longer to cook. SALMON SHOULD ONLY BE COOKED 4 MINUTES EACH SIDE FOR A TOTAL OF 8 MINUTES!!!!! Was good once I received it but 45 minutes almost caused me to ask...

SO GOOD!! I ordered the 2pc Fish & More with cole slaw for both of the sides (LJS isn't "known" for their fries, but their slaw... yum!!). Both pieces of fish were cooked nicely.. the very tippy tip ends chewed just a tad on the overcooked side, but it was only about half of a bite's worth, which is in no way worth "complaining" about! The hushpuppies... wow. I can honestly say I'm pretty sure the ones we got in this order were the best LJS hushpuppies I've ever had. The breading was perfectly crisp without being TOO crispy, and the inside was fluffy and... well... moist (sorry - I couldn't come up with another word that fit better.. lol). A lot of times with the restaurants that use fryers, you can tell the oil is past the point of needing to be changed - flavors meld together, and things just don't taste quite as fresh. Not here! Whether it was fresh oil or not, it sure tasted like it!!
If I were to really try & find something to complain about, it'd probably be that the pieces of fish left our fingers a little more greasy than we'd like, but that's what utensils & napkins...

I stopped by here for a dinner to dine in. There were no other customers in the store when we arrived. We walked right in and they were ready to take out order. The menu is laid out nice snd easy to read. There's alot of variations of food to get and sub certain things gor others. I had the 8 piece shrimp meal with double waffles fries, which comes with a few hush puppies. Soda is extra
Everything tasted good a d the ketchup and shrimp sauce squirt bottles were clean and worked well The shrimp was good and the waffles fries could of been cooked a bit long because they were super crispy.
Overall the workers I chatted with had a good idea of what needs to be done. Our food came out pretty quick and the soda selections are nice.
The location may be forgotten alot of times because it's a bit further on the outer road but it's a nice visit that hasn't changed much that I can remember.
