Coffee Concrete — Restaurant in Saint Petersburg

A collab between a coffee shop & a concrete furniture artist may sound kinda crazy at first blush, but wow does it work. Sugar Baby brought the food & drink and Form 43 supplied the space - industrial, boho, organic. On Sundays there’s a DJ playing mellow techno funk. The coffee & matcha drinks are superb, just as you would expect from Victoria & Eugene. A patio & food truck are also in the works.

Note: This is not a grab & go coffee kiosk; it’s a vibe.

coffee.concrete has EXPLODED online and consequently service may sometimes be a bit slow as they adjust. So grab a chair. Relax. Connect. Pick up a book. Dig the music. Shop the Form 43 tables. Take a break from the outside world. Be kind to the hard working staff and each other. Breathe.

I really wanted to love this place, I love trying out new coffee shops… but I paid $8 for a terrible coffee drink that was pure milk, could not taste the coffee at all. I asked for an espresso shot that took (not exaggerating here) 20 mins to get, just to try to make it taste better which cost me an additional $4 more dollars.. so I paid $12 for a coffee, that was not drinkable. On top of all that I found a bug in my drink as well.. When I was leaving, someone’s car next to mine door was wide open, no one in the car, looked like it had been broken into. The vibes inside seemed really cool and I would have loved to enjoy the decor and coffee but in my opinion, if you're going to have a private event, please put on google maps that the coffee shop is closed until the time of the event ends. I was super excited to bring my husband here for the first time and we were disappointed that we were allowed to order coffee but we could not stay due to the private event. It was only coffee that you could order, no pastries or snacks, just coffee, which I felt was lacking and lame, if I wanted just coffee, I would have stayed home and made some myself. Overall it's a 2 star for me, first impressions...
