Night crew, was terrible.
Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Was having an anxiety attack, and trying to redirect it with a familiar treat.
New guy, handed me the drink, and tried to quietly persuade me to enjoy what I didn't pay for bc he said they were out of the drink I ordered. I asked for a refund, and they ignored my request. I had to leave to catch an Uber and had to beg for my money back. Instead they both decided to remake the drink, I felt pressured to accept.
Instead of just giving me my money back, I got treated like I was stupid for asking for what I payed for. This really hurt my feelings, and to top it off was treated like I needed to be made an example of for it. I was nothing but kind and understanding.
I got handed a completely different drink, bc the new person didn't know they had what I ordered, in stock, bc their containers in the fridge were clearly, in my view, unlabeled. As well as it seems like he needed more training. He was nervous and needed guidance, and there was none to be found. Instead he ducked behind the espresso machines to avoid me.
I even told them I was having anxiety when I came in, this didn't help.
I just wanted my money back, instead they started making my drink wrong again, and the girl working the counter treated me like trash instead of just refunding me. The new guy didn't know how to make it, and she left him to fend for himself still unsure how to make it.
As someone in the Kava/Tea tender industry, I can say this is the worst experience ever.
Kava culture is about being caring to others, this was immature, and downright bad vibes. These places thrive on consistency, and kindness, those attributes of which, completely lacked there this evening.
This was an awful experience for what I thought was a cool place.
Made my anxiety attack peak, and left there juggling my drinks trying not to cry.
Getting harassed by drunk ppl in the store. (Also weird to be at a Kava bar that sells beer, when kava and alcohol aren't supposed to be consumed together, it's literally dangerous)
("Tea tenders" poorly trained, and the cruelty I received, undeserved)
I felt hustled out of my hard earned money, and treated...

I walked into Moon Mountain Coffee Bar thinking I’d leave with a simple cup of Joe… what I didn’t expect was a cosmic journey through caffeinated paradise! 🛸
First off, they’ve got a “Whiskey Barrel Cold Brew” that must’ve aged in a galaxy far, far away. I could feel the coffee channeling my inner space cowboy. Next, I bravely ventured into the Pumpkin Pie Latte, and let me tell you, it was like drinking pure autumn magic! 🎃🍂 Every sip transported me into a field of pumpkin patches with a latte in one hand and a rake in the other.
But the real gem here is the Kava Pink Drink – who knew raspberries and lemons could high-five my taste buds while riding a wave of Kava extract? It’s like the cool cousin of all pink drinks. If you’re feeling particularly fancy, try the Kratom Lemonade—a drink so chill, I’m surprised I didn’t turn into a snowflake by the end of it. ❄️
And let's not overlook the Ube Latte! Never in my life did I think I’d drink something purple that tasted this good. If purple had a flavor, this would be it. 🍠💜 I almost cried tears of joy (or were they Ube tears?) after the first sip.
I ended my visit with a Pumpkin Pie Frozen Drink that sent me into an ice-cold vortex of pure dessert bliss. ❄️ Who knew frozen pumpkin pie was the key to intergalactic happiness?
This place doesn’t just serve coffee; it offers an interstellar experience. 🌌✨ Whether you want to ride the caffeine rocket to the moon or chill with some Kava, Moon Mountain has it all. 10/10, would rocket launch my taste...
Read moreI would highly recommend seeking out other kava bars, as there are tons of amazing ones in st. Pete.
I keep wanting to give this place a chance because of the location and vibes, but every time I'm reminded of why I choose other kava bars.
The pricing is the first big turn off, paying a minimum of $12 is just way too much when there are cheaper and stronger teas nearby. That said, I understand business is business and it's a prime location.
The main problem is the customer service. Every time I've done it's been different people, yet somehow they all manage to just give absolutely subpar service. It always seems like the workers can't be bothered to come take your order, even if they're doing nothing but sitting using their phones.
Tonight we went with a group of friends to hang out for a while and give this place another chance (probably the last one), and they announced at 7:55 that they were closing early at 8:00. If the hours have changed it should be reflected on Google, or they should let customers know before they place their order. Would not have stayed if we knew they were going to decide to close...
