In town visiting my sister and we decided to stop here because their happy hour drink specials seemed pretty reasonable. We decided to stay and get a drink and apps even after there were two separate customers complaining to a bartender or manager about the horrible service (chalked it up to it being the end of the lunch rush, so we decided to give them a chance anyways). Stood inside for about three minutes without being greeted before we finally asked a server (who walked by us twice without saying anything) if we could grab a table outside. Waited another few minutes before being greeted by another server, who immediately came off as rude to us. Gave her the benefit of the doubt because it looked like the lunch rush just ended, however it went downhill from there. The server (don't even know her name because the first thing she said to us was "what do you guys want to drink") warmly welcomed other people. She took two other tables drink and later food orders before even coming back to us to see what we wanted to drink and eat; though we had been there first for 10-15 minutes at that point. The only time she interacted with us was when she dropped off our drinks (that had been sitting at the bar for a while before she even acknowledged them) and our food. I am a server myself and was truly upset and baffled that someone could be so unwelcoming at what seemed like a really interesting bar/ restaurant. Will not be returning and will not be recommending this to anyone. Gave it 2 stars because the food was good, otherwise would have left it with one star (also the Stella on draft was flat). Would recommend bringing in more friendly servers, as well as having three or four servers for the lunch rush....
Read moreThree of us went to the Seminole location last Friday Night 08/09/25. My daughter an I were seated pretty quickly, but we would of rather had a booth. Our server Taylor took our drink order and brought them to us. My daughters boyfriend showed up about 10 minutes later and she came and took his order. She cam back about 15 minutes later and asked if we were ready so we put in an order for pretzel bites. 40 minutes went by and still no pretzels so we asked her. She went to find out and sais the order hadn't been put in. 20 minutes later they came out. We asked for silverware and she said she would have to in the back to get some. She continued to go to other tables and never brought our silverware. We had to ask another server, who immediately went to our server. when she came back she asked for our order and to get refills. I ordered the steak wrap with no green peppers. When the food came out there were green peppers on it so I just ate it. before all of this she brought 2 of our drinks and never brought my daughter her iced tea. she kept coming back and looking but never brought the tea. We finally asked for the tea and she brought it about 15 minutes before we left. we were the from 5:38 until 9:20. I do have the receipt. We have been to this location and the Pinellas park one several times, but this was by far the...
Read moreI have been to Five Bucks Drinkery a hand full of times and I absolutely love the food (BBQ Pork Nachos are to die for). However, every time I visit Five Bucks, be it alone or with other people, I am unsure of the seating protocol. Usually when I come, I stand at the entrance wondering if the waitresses will notice a customer at the entrance. After waiting for what what is a disrespectful amount of time, I usually have to find a waitress to seat me. This time, I tried seating myself outside after strolling inside to see if anyone would offer to seat me (no one did). I am currently sitting outside and I have been for 20 minutes and have yet to even be spoken to by a waitress. They have walked right past me several times and served other customers around me, without speaking a word to me. At this point, these waitresses are completely ignoring me. You would think am employee would speak to a customer, who at this point has not ordered a single thing and could be considered a squatter. My question is: what is the seating protocol because I have yet to be seated without hunting a waitress down? I am not a local, I am in St. Petersburg for business purposes. It is ridiculous that I have never once been acknowledged as a customer, especially since I really do love the food. But the service needs work. No customer should...
