I'm unfortunate enough to be in this Pizza Hut's delivery territory. Probably 3 out of 4 times there are no issues. But around 25% of the time, the food takes 90 minutes to arrive. The first time it happened, I was in no rush, I knew it was a busy night, and my pizza was still warm at least, so I didn't complain. The second time, I ordered 2 hours before I had to leave for my overnight shift at work. An hour later, I called to check on the order and they said the driver had just left. (Really? It took an hour to get my one pizza cooked?) I didn't get the pizza until 15 minutes before I had to leave (fully 105 minutes after I ordered), and it was completely cold. When I asked the driver what took so long, he claimed that he had another delivery far away. Where, in Sarasota? And even if he did have another distant delivery to make, I live barely a mile away so it seems like I should have been his first stop. So I complained online and received coupons for two free pizzas in the mail. I used one without incident, then I used the second one and again it took them almost 2 hours to deliver, and this was on a Tuesday night, not a Friday or Saturday or Super Bowl Sunday or anything like that. So, at this point my patience has run out. I like Pizza Hut better than Domino's and a lot more than Papa John's, but this particular Pizza Hut location is completely inept. My Domino's delivers to me all the way from Downtown in less time than it takes this Pizza Hut to even start cooking my order. And with Flipper's, E&L, and 2-3 other places also delivering to my address (and now a Little Caesar's in walking distance) I don't have to keep tolerating this Pizza...
Read moreWe ordered two pasta single serving dishes. One was the meat one that has pepperoni and Italian sausage and the other was to be a chicken Alfredo. We used Uber Eats for delivery. The Uber Eats guy was phenomenal! Quick and nice. The restaurant itself leaves a lot to be desired. We got our order, opened it up and had one plain Alfredo pasta and one Alfredo with chicken. The paper receipt clearly said the correct meat one but had a plain Alfredo down. But my online receipt showed the correct order. I have no idea how they managed to mess it up from what was correct to begin with. So 50% of the order itself was wrong. Then they didn’t put the covers on the containers so they had no way to retain their heat. They came wide open and exposed inside of a pizza box. I should note we’re in a hotel, they knew this, so you can’t reheat in the metal containers and without the lids the food was cold. No forks or napkins either. The other issue was it was so dehydrated, we had to wonder if these were reheated from the cooler and then sent out. We are just here for vacation, but when you spend 24 bucks and none of it, even the wrong part of the order, is edible, that’s $24 for nothing. We are not picky eaters, but some things just can’t be made better enough to eat. This was one of those situations. The breadsticks were fine. That’s why we left the number of stars we did, they’re for the breadsticks alone. Zero for the pasta. Definitely should have ordered some marinara sauce to dip them in, but we got by without it. Read moreQuite disappointed! Saturday we ordered online for delivery (as done on several occasions before.) Took 40 minutes, okay they might be busy. Received 1 wrong item plus it looked like it had sat under a heat lamp for hours. I called and wanted the correct item, told 35 minutes to re-deliver (not too happy but okay- again they might be busy). One hour and 5 minutes later still no replacement. By this time everyone else was finished with their food and I was too aggravated to eat anymore. I called again and said I wanted it canceled and a refund back to my card. The manager is unable to do that- he could only give me a credit for next time (which there will not be a next time!), told me the GM would call me in the am to do the refund that will take 5 days, he even took my cellphone number. The item arrived about 10 minutes later- 9:13pm and it looked like the initial one received but with correct toppings. I did not eat any of it! No call from anyone on Sunday or today for that matter.
