I’ve gone to whiskey exchange numerous times and never had an issue until recently. The young security guy has a major ego problem. You are so lucky I didn’t call the cops because I was absolutely pissed as to how you were treating my friend. My husband and I went inside while my friend was waiting outside sitting. The security guy told her if we weren’t coming out that she would have to leave while my drink was being made inside. I got out there and the security guy literally told her that she has to leave but she didn’t do anything wrong. She was literally sitting with us while I was drinking my drink. So you’re telling me she can’t sit with us because she’s not drinking? I was about to call the cops because of how you were treating her. I’ve worked at Acropolis and have gone with friends numerous times and not once have I had an issue until that night. I got a New York sour that night and was waiting for my drink to be made. I hope you fire the young security guard because what he did was absolutely wrong. & honestly if you had called the cops on me or my friend that was with me then I would have been fine with it because we did NOTHING wrong. I didn’t even give my friend any alcohol WHATSOEVER that y’all could have a cop breathalyze my friend that she would have passed it. I would love to have the owner call me in regards to this because after that night, I was and still am upset in how we...

My girlfriend and I are both experienced bartenders and Robert felt the need to interrupt our order to make sure we understood what a “very dry” martini was. Yeah… I think we know what that means, we make martinis for a living. He repeated to act superior to other members of our party (all bartenders). For one of our bartender friends, he talked down to her when she ordered a gimlet by saying in a condescending tone “well come on, I’m going to need more information that, vodka or gin?” when the obvious answer is gin. I never stiff a bartender but frankly I’d never speak to a customer the way he spoke to us. Bartending is an opportunity to connect someone with the type of alcohol they may like, and guide them to an order that suits them. Robert sucks at bartending and misses the point.
Whiskey Exchange has a great selection of whiskeys and even a decent selection of other liquors, but I’d hate to try and explore my palate...
Read moreNever been in while it’s been busy so not really sure what kind of crowd frequents. We’ve tried right when they open, late nights on weeknights and then on the weekend.
As you can imagine from the name, they have a bunch of whiskeys. Their menu and selection is decent. Wish they stocked more of other things — very limited rum selection if looking for something a little different, like a rum old fashion.
Concept part of bar is kinda cool — there’s a scrolling marquee that lets you know pricing and when something is “hot” it will go up or down in price to meet demand. Again, never really been when it’s busy to see this in action.
We have eaten here a few times (grilled cheese and tomato soup was BOMB) but have tried a few other times and told they didn’t have an open kitchen. So very hit or miss. Did see some people ordering and bringing in full fresh pizzas though, so that’s...
