Book + Bottle — Restaurant in Saint Petersburg

My husband and I discovered Book + Bottle in the past few weeks and it has been our favorite find in St. Pete. We live about 30 minutes away and it is always worth the commute for us.

Terra, the owner, has great taste in wine and a lot of experience. Her passion for this business is clear in the way she presents herself and the store. She is deeply knowledgeable in the wines she presents and has a staff who are kind and considerate.

Their wine choices change every two weeks and there is a diverse collection of fun wines to choose from. My husband and I have joined their monthly wine club & book club and we look forward to the next book club meeting. Also, their cappuccino with vanilla is the best I have had since moving to Florida.

My first reaction when I heard about Book + Bottle was "OMG somebody read my mind! A place where you can read, buy books and drink wine and lattes! It's perfect!" And I have to say they nail everything single part of that! I've been going since they first opened. The space is always clean and inviting, they always have an excellent selection of books (and new ones every week), the staff is knowledgeable and so freaking nice. Wine shops can be intimidating sometimes but at Book + Bottle the staff will help you pick out a wine even if you don't know anything about it (which is 100% my case) without making you feel awkward or out of place. I'm in love! This place has been on my list for a while now, and I finally got to go today with my bestie. It was a little busy when we got there, but that's wasn't an issue in any way. I just went on to browse wine choices with a specific one in mind. They didn't have it, but I was quickly assisted by one of the employees who gave recommendations on similar wines. The wine she recommended was so spot on it that it even tasted better than the Dornfelder I originally was looking for. They have a very good selection of books, which I was super excited about.
