Went there 3/17/16 at about 9:30 pm with my husband. I ordered the $6 meal that comes with chips and a drink. I told her not to toast it and she did anyway. She gave me only 2 pieces of onion and 2 jalapeno's on a six inch. She did not put on my condiments and she forgot my teriyaki sauce. She tried to charge me separately the chips and soda. My sandwich was so dry I had to take a drink with every bite. My husbands club even tasted bad. She was also kinda rude. It was the nastiest, smallest, plain sub I have ever gotten there. And they are way over priced. Down here were I live in Douglas county at our Subways we always pay $5 for a foot long and they don't tell you only 2 pieces of onion. Really sad. That sandwich was a pregnancy craving that ruined Subway for me. Just wait. I'm going to go to my local subway, have them make my sandwich and Ill take a picture of the sandwich and the receipt and post and and you will see. $5 foot long, full wonderful sandwich and "NO"...
Read moreI went into Subway to get lunch and reported to Ashlee that a fruit fly was landing on all the vegetables. She just ignored me, she didn't attend to view the fruit fly when I showed her it or lose the lid to the veggies she just continued to make my sandwich. I then told her co-worker Vanessa the thing and she said,"What do you want me to do about it?"
At the very least they could have closed the lid to prevent contamination but they didn't even attempt to protect the customers. They didn't seem the least bit concerned.
I am concerned that this location has workers that don't care about the customers safety and well being. I plan on reporting this to food services.
To be clear both workers were aware of the unsanitary conditions and just didn't care. They need to be spoken to and educated on food safety. I will not be returning to Salem Hawthorne...
Read moreHad a horrible experience here. The girl who took our order got a call while making our sandwich. She pulled her cell phone out of her back pocket and declined the call and continued to make our sandwich without changing her gloves. I lost my appetite! Her hair looked like it hadn't been washed in days and her pony tail was half hazardly thrown up. She was not wearing a hat or a hair net to prevent hairs from falling in the food. They need to re-train their employee's on food handler safety. I'm scared to even try to eat my sandwich. Our sandwiches sat all made up and ready to wrap while she continued to make two other sandwiches. Why she didn't at least wrap them up is beyond me. Such a bad experience. I eat at Subway at least once a week but this was my first and last time to ever eat at this location again. What...
