Thai Place Restaurant — Restaurant in Salem

If I could give zero stars I would. My family and I went to this place on Saturday while visiting Salem. When the waitress took our order, we told her numerous times that my boyfriend is allergic to peanuts. After ordering, the cook came out from the back and has the audacity to ask if the peanut allergy is sever. We go on to explain that it is life or death if he ingests them and those of us at the table could not have an either. When he returns to the back, another lady comes out to explain that they use the same frier with peanuts so the only thing he could get would be sweet and sour chicken. When we told her we couldn't have any peanuts on our food either, she responded, you guys are not allergic. At this point we we're all frustrated with the unprofessional service and feared that if we did receive our food he would have an allergic reaction. So we told her that unfortunately we would have to go somewhere else but we would pay for the drinks that we already received since we couldn't take any chances. At this point she starts yelling at us and making a huge scene in the restaurant. (Because of a sever peanut allergy). Even after we paid for the drinks she continued as we were leaving. She also became threatening and the waitresses seemed as though they were scared of her. She kept yelling and screaming on the top of her lungs even after we left, we could still hear her in the halls that were filled with people. I will never recommend this place anyone, especially someone with an allergy. we have been to multiple Thai places before and they have never had a problem with making sure there were no peanuts. Haven't been here in years but my brother and I were craving fried ice cream and didnt want to leave salem to find it, so we went here. My brother has had bad experiences here in the past. I didnt remember any and went in with decent hopes. We sat down took our order. My son made his order and after some teasing from my brother decided to order rice instead of fries for his side. My brother and I ordered pad thai and beef bulgoki. The food came out and it was one person sized. Barely even an entree sized. The beef bulgoki was over seasoned with salt and did not taste even close to bulgoki. The pad thai was decent despite it's small size. My sons food came with fries instead of rice and he was upset. We tried to tell the waitress and to our shock, she fought against it. Saying she had our order written down and that she will even get the slip to prove it. She then tried to get us to pay more for the rice that my son had asked for. I just shook my head and said that I'm not paying more for this meal and to forget it. The owner was nesr by and asked what was happening and the server explained to her what happened and the owner laughed. Didnt even come over to see what waa going on. We left with a barely 10 percent tip. My advice: it's not worth it, dont bother coming for thai food. For pad thai I suggest the lucky house in peabody and add some crush red pepper with lime if you need an extra kick. The stories of the servers are true. They aren't great and if they need tip so bad, you would expect them to provide some respect to...

Do not waste your time. The service was horrible. They were not busy when I arrived. I walked in the door and stood there for at least 2 or 3 minutes while two workers chatted. One of them saw me right away but did not come right over, but instead kept on talking. When she finally came over she sat me at a table for 4 and then another waitress came over and told me that I needed to move because I was alone and the table was too big. That was fine although she was a bit rude. I ordered an app and pad thai. My app came and was very good, but my pad Thai never came. No one paid any attention to me or even came close enough to me for long enough to speak to them without raising my voice. Everyone around me was served. After about 25 minutes a waitress noticed me sitting there and brought me a check with the pad thai on it. I informed her that I was never served. i told her that I would like it removed from the check. Two different people tried to get me the pad thai ...which i appreciated but at that point i just wanted to leave. i finally convinced them to bring me the check with only the app on it and the waitress laughed as she gave it to me and said 'sorry wrong table'...i assume that means they gave my food to someone else. Anyway...they were inattentive and rude...don't...
