The museum itself is really cool and I think worth the $10 but the person who works the attraction, they are very pushy and rude. I came in August 2024 and just looked in to see if this was reasonably priced as I had a fairly large group. The person was really pushing the walking tour, I said I will discuss with my family and we will think about it. We decided it was just out of budget so we skipped it but when I turned around the person who worked the desk was out of the store I think looking for me. I got freaked out and we just avoided it. I came back recently and decided I really wanted to see this museum and it was the same person. They weren’t as pushy about me not wanting the walking tour I told them I would not be here at the times they were doing them and they said “that’s awful” in a tone that was hard to read. They also were frustrated when I didn’t hear them say the times so they had to repeat themselves but also I was then very overstimulated as they were being rude and there were people behind me I went the wrong way and they said “wrong way” in such a tone that just instantly embarrassed me. I went into the gift shop after and the person there was very lovely. Unfortunately the person who works the desk is a cancer to the business as it is really cool but being pushy and rude is NOT a good experience and when I go back I will avoid that place...
Read moreupdate since the Museum replied so professionally : my review is written the day of an Holiday but I visited days ago so no, it was NOT during the Holiday. We planned our trip to go BEFORE the Holidays… * Disappointed… came all the way from Montreal, Canada and faced a closed door 2 days in a row. The first day, we walked by and the door was open and we even waved to the guy at the front desk but didn’t enter because we had to eat first. When we came back around 3pm, we checked the paper on the window and it said open from 11am to 6pm or 7pm (don’t remember exactly)but the lights were out, door locked and no paper saying they were closing early for an occasion so we were disappointed but went to visit other places. Came back the next day at 11:10am when they should have been open but again, door locked and not paper saying why they were closed. Did another little museum near it and came back at 12:00…. you guessed it, still closed. Only stop I did not checked on my...

We stopped in during our trip & it was one of our fave experiences in Salem! Super tiny, cute & fully packed museum of everything Halloween! As a Halloween lover, this little place filled my spooky soul full of Halloween joy & glee.
Salem really embraces Halloween so I was surprised to find this place was only $10! The museum is a small walk thru but it’s fully packed with fun Halloween decor, horror/halloween movie set pieces, Halloween facts, & vintage Halloween goodies to see. The lighting, music, everything was a vibe!
It may be on the smaller side, but if you pace yourself, you can do a solid 20 minutes. For only $10 it’s worth stopping in- especially if Halloween is your jam! 🎃 It was so fun & highly recommend checking it out! They also had a really cute Halloween gift shop to check out including famous horror movie autographed...
