Amore's Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Salina

So I would like to start off by saying that my husband and I have been around quite a few restaurants around the United States in different states of course and anyone that complained about the quality of the food.....to put it simply your taste buds don't count. To the negative nancy complaining about her mixed orange juice drink, if you want a drink go to a damn bar and stop leaving negative feedback unrelated to the actual cuisine. To the people (obviously local) complaining about the decor do the world a favor and get a life! When people go out to eat they rate a place based on service and food, since when do we rate a restaurant based on decor! Ha! Anyway...this place had amazing service and the food was amazing. I got the pasta sampler and my husband got the seafood amore #1. The calmari and mussels as appetizers. The sauce on both was amazing, perfectly seasoned and you could tell it was a homemade taste. The batter on the calamari also amazing. The dishes themselves same. If you haven't been here, please do so, your tastebuds...

So disappointed in this place. Right off the host barely said a word. The waitress took our drink order, brought the drinks, and then hung out nearby flirting with another waiter while we sat there wondering when she was going to take our order. I took a sip of my Italian margarita that was all orange juice. Orange juice? Yep you read that right. I asked the waitress if I got the correct drink and she said yes. Long story short the manager refused to take the drink off the tab when I had only 2 sips. It was $16....I asked if he could just charge me for a shot of tequila and he refused. Then he offered to put more alcohol in (which I'd have to pay for), but I told him "sorry sir, that's not the issue." I handed them $20 and left. I'm from out of town so I'm happy I'll have no reason to ever go here again. Good luck to those who go here expecting real Italian and nice management. I'll be telling my Kansas family to avoid this...

We really had a nice time! All of the employees were super friendly! We were told that Amorè is a family tan business and everything is homemade never frozen. The food sure backed that up too! We got two appetizers, the muscles and cheese sticks. Both were very good, you could even tell that the cheese sticks were hand battered. For the main course we got the tour of Italy and the Spagetti with everything. The Alfredo was very good and had more of a creamy taste and texture compared to Olive Garden. I’m usually not a fan of lasagna, but I am now! And the chicken parm was very good too! The spagetti was also very good, the flavor was seasoned just right. The prices aren’t too bad either. We both got an appetizer to share, drinks, and main courses. Our bill was around $70. We also took an ample amount of food home. 10/10 would recommend.
