Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Salina

It has been a very long time since I've been to Sonic. Years, in fact. I recall, in my Youth, Sonic was very mid; the coneys were good, the burgers decent, but the much loved tater tots always seemed pale and bland to me. Then a few weeks ago I stopped in after work - it was late and I was quite tired and hungry. On a whim, I decided to get tater tots with my coney and limeade, since in had indeed been a while. Either things have changed while I was away all those years, with Sonic or with me, but the tater tots were amazing. Crispy outside, soft inside, and just enough seasoning to make them tantalizing and delicious. All my years fell away and once again I was a kid in the back of a car, but now I would happily eat those offered tots if they had always been like this. Perhaps I wouldn't have stayed away so long.

Food is always great and fast. Drinks have many combinations and they always have diet drinks you just have to ask. On the SuperSonic Burrito it is one of my favorite fast food burritos. The cheese is proportional to the other ingredients the only issue I have is I have ordered four burritos at different times to see the difference each time ordering no tots in the burrito. Two of the four I added extra jalapeños. The difference between extra and ordinary is 1-3 jalapeños so would not recommend paying extra. Also I have noticed during busy times I get tots in my burrito 100% of the time. During the business hours when I notice the stalls almost empty my order is exact every time. Order was messed up. I got a bacon egg and cheese brioche sandwich. Only to find out when I got all the way home that it was missing the bacon. Really!!! Then they forgot the ranch with the onion rings. Clicked the button to have them bring it out and they didn’t respond. I then went to the next stall over and they answered right away! What poor customer service! To think these places expect and want a tip prior to services rendered. They don’t seem to understand all the errors that they make on a constant basis.
