UPDATE: I returned to the store and had my order replaced. The manger on duty apologized profusely and handled my issues comfortably. I was satisfied with how the store addressed NY concerns.
I am changing my review of this location. It used to be a great experience, but this evening I've decided I'm not likely to ever return until I've heard back from management.
Pulled up to drive through, where an employee told me they had no hamburgers or fries. I used to work fast food, it happens, np.
I made some comment about not envying her position in telling people that (simple friendly conversation). She then complained for some time this was the 4th week they've run out of food. (Unprofessional, but I did start the conversation, so in no way blame the that employee)
I sat at the drive through box for roughly 10 minutes, as I watched 3 cars get their food and leave. I literally ordered then drove straight to the window, since everyone before me had their entire order in and completed before I was noticed.
I had asked at the box if they had strawberry frosties, which I was told they did. I was informed at the window they just sold their last one...again, it happens, but you'd imagine they would have already prepared more, especially given all the products they didn't have on hand.
I spent almost a minute in stunned silence holding out my credit card expecting the cashier to take it and tell me my amount. We literally stared at each other awkwardly. Finally I said "how much is it" while gesturing with my card, and she said "oh yeah, you need to pay. It's 21 dollars and change"
I saw one individual handling my food without a hat or headwear of any kind. I don't think it's legally required in my area, but was just another frustration amongst many others.
I saw employees dancing to music on their airpods and cutting up; it's kids at a fast food joint, I don't expect a ton of professionalism. But I watched my packaged food sit on the counter for a minute or two while everyone goofed off. Again, don't have high standards for professionalism, but I imagine you'd commit more if you already cannot supply your most popular products.
I finally pulled away and took my food home, only to realize they did not give me a straw. Very very minor detail, but again, just one on top of many.
I called the company and was told to expect a call back explaining the situation and bring assured it was being handled. I will update my review when I...
Read moreThe park lot was filled with people begging for money, literally coming up to my car and knocking on my window while I was waiting in the drive thru, if I didn't already place my order online I would have driven away as I had my children with me, we waited almost 20 minutes in the drive thru for three biggie bags and when we got out food the nuggets where so hard and over cooked they where in edible one fry was hot one was cold, the sandwiches were good and made the way the should have been but they meant was cold, and every single drink they gave us was wrong, my kids asked for orange fanta they gave them strawberry Fanta with out even asking. The lady running the drive thru window was very dismissive, the young man running the counter, did try to keep the mood light and give us a free fry for our wait but like all the other fries those ones were also cold if it wasn't for the outside environment and being there as a single mother with my children already having my window knocked on by strangers multiple times I would have went inside and asked for a remake of my entire order but for my children's safety I just opted to take the loss and get them different food elsewhere. It's a true shame because this seems to be a continuous pattern between the three Wendy's within a 10-15 mile drive of me and my kids love Wendy's and so do I as I was a general manager of one for over a year before moving from PA to NC and being forced to walk away. The environment we allowed in our stores up there and the way we served our food to our guests, and the wait times we allowed were the absolute complete opposite which is a shame because running a store for their company I know the potential they have to be great but I've tried multiple different ones down here and unfortunately they all seem to be run the same. Not sure if they are all run by the same franchise company or not or they don't have staff that cares, or what the problem is but I guess it's time to cut my losses and stick to only getting Wendy's when I go back home to PA to visit....
Read moreI wanna preface this by saying i've always been a fan of wendy's. The Wendy's spicy chicken classic, always my favorite. Add a small Frosty and fry a dr pepper and I was always a happy camper .
That being said, this particular wendy's, is always hit or miss.
One time not terribly long ago when I pulled up to the window to pick up my order.I could see through to the floor on the inside behind the service counter, and it looked like somebody dumped about six trash bags of garbage on the floor.. it was absolutely disgusting.. If you're willing to walk around in that through your shift, regardless of how busy you are or may not be and not care that you're walking around in absolute filth, it put a mental image in my head of what the quality of the food would be and the surfaces that the food was prepped and cooked on, so we didn't eat the food, we drank our drinks and went down to cookout for sandwhiches, and then for 2 years, I did not come back.
At this location, more than once, we've also had attitude And lousy service thrown at us ,in the past , dried out hamburgers and hastily thrown together sandwiches, just messy and chaotic, partially filled french fry containers etc..
But then, on other days, we've had people who were very nice on the intercom, they were very nice at the window ,the food was made right. It was piping hot, it looked neat , like they cared ,and you looked through the window picking up your stuff and it doesn't look like a hot mess...
So what i'm saying here is, unfortunately, you roll the dice at this location... When they are good and they are on point, you are very happy. And when they're not, it's bad enough that you don't want to come back...
I say to the owner of this franchise, attitude and consistency makes all the difference, and cleanliness, as someone who worked many years in the food industry Is beyond being key... and my three star rating was based upon my last visit, where everything was typical for another wendy's, that wasn't...
