Generally, we love going to Cracker Barrel. However, our last experience wasn't that good. Our waitress looked like she had just woke up, put on a uniform and showed up. Her hair was hanging in her eyes, oily and all messed up. The manager should have talked with her about her appearance. Steak had to be reordered. It was cooked well, but we ordered medium rare. I was going to use some salt to season my food, until I saw black specks in it. Then noticed all salt shakers on tables near us had black specks. I'm hoping they were having staff issues and...

I know this is no fine dining. But I've never had such a bad meal at a cracker barrel. I waited 15 min to be seated. Even though about 6 employees walked past us at the podium. It should have been a red flag. It only went downhill from there. I ordered the country fried steak with the sawmill gravy. Only they were out of the gravy but didn't tell me until they were serving it. 🤦🏽‍♀️ I ended up getting a side of the brown gravy, but the same. My child ended up getting sick from their meal. Probably one of the most visited places in Salisbury due to the fact that Starbucks, Chicfila, Jersey Mike's and Outback are all together there. During busy hours you can get into the center by going tge back way through mlk blvd and come out behind everything. Sometimes its hard getting in and out right by the main entrance but there is another way in off of the main road as well in front of Starbucks.
