Can’t speak to the food — never made it that far. Instead, I was greeted with hostility for simply parking my car and U-Haul trailer in a nearly empty lot that Cubby’s shares with Dave’s Hot Chicken. Being from out of town, hauling a heavy trailer, and seeing plenty of open spaces, I figured parking across a few spots for a few minutes wouldn’t be a big deal. Apparently, I was wrong.
Out bursts a man who—no joke—looked like a real-life Mike Wazowski, and he immediately launched into an aggressive tirade, threatening to have my vehicle towed. I calmly told him I’d only be a few minutes while grabbing food from Dave’s, but instead of showing any professionalism or basic decency, he escalated further and threatened to call the police.
Spoiler alert: the cops never came, and Dave’s staff weren’t surprised. According to them, the folks at Cubby’s are notoriously hot-headed and rude. It even took Dave’s manager walking over to diffuse the situation and reel in Wazowski.
Bottom line — I didn’t try the food, but based on the customer service, I wouldn’t want to. Nobody wants to eat where you’re treated like a criminal for parking in...
Read moreWe ordered a detailed and specific catering order. The order was for 11am and 5pm. It was written in detail on what we needed and at what time and who to ask or call for upon arriving. I'm sad to say that not only did Cubbys not show up until 12:30pm but they had misread the email and given us the wrong food order. They went back to get the rest of the missing food. Then came back with the missing food an hour later. They did accommodate us requesting a couple more sandwiches and brought the rest by 2:30. Considering it was supposed to be there at 11am, and then didn't finish our lunch order till 2:30pm, it was not a pleasant experience. Our dinner order was an 1 hour late, and took 8 messages between me and the manager to confirm and get it taken care of regardless of the email that had all the details. I was highly disappointed with this order, how unprofessional and how late they were. I realize this was a large order, and more complex. Any questions should've been addressed beforehand. Not to mention the 3 emails that I sent and were ignored. I will not be ordering...
Read moreVisiting from out of town. The good- the food was tasty and fresh. I had the tri-tip steak sandwich with sweet sauce and regular fries. It was good and I recommend it. My family had salads and a lettuce wrapped burger and they all commented that they were happy with their meals.
The not so good- the tables and chairs were sticky and some didn’t look like they had been cleaned in a while. It was 3:00 in the after and not that busy.
When I paid the kiosk asked if I wanted a printed receipt of email. I selected printed because I have an app I scan my receipts in to. I completed the transaction and waited for the receipt. I was told they only do email receipts. The guy taking the order somewhat rudely acted like there was something wrong with me for asking for a printed receipt and turned the digital keyboard over and said they only do email receipts. He then turned around and walked off like I had offended him. Not for sure why.
