AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!! I repeat, AVOID !!! I rarely post reviews, but this had to be done! Food not cooked thoroughly and missing orders. First time had issues with an order. Said hey I’ll give them another try. It’s been months. Wrong! Repeat of events. Had an order placed for delivery. Arrived with food items not cooked thoroughly and missing an entire food order as well. Called the restaurant. First time was put on hold then hung up on by a woman. Second time spoke to a gentleman and gave me the excuse that they are busy so that’s why they messed up. Not only that but didn’t give me a response as to why the item I did receive WAS NOT cooked thoroughly.. as in UNDERCOOKED. I’m not a picky person but there is a fine line. You would think French fries that are accompanied with a sandwich would be At least be cooked? WRONG. They even managed to screw that up, as the fries were not only cold, but where beyond undercooked!! Raw potatoes. Not only is that not okay but unsafe to eat. Would not let me even try to explain what were the issues and kept being interrupted and cut off with the excuse of being busy. Awful customer service. I’m sorry but NO restaurant regardless of how busy they are (which it was not) would not be putting out food orders to keep up with demand and throw away the safe food handling and proper cooking procedures of the items. Not only does this raise eyebrows but makes me (any person) question not only the restaurants cooking handling procedures but it’s integrity.. and running operations. Clearly they don’t care about it or quality. I would give it Zero stars! But the review only let me put a minimum of one. Hung up after a while of what was arguing from their end. Look somewhere else for pizza, for sandwiches, pasta.. for FRIES! There are plenty of other pizza restaurants, including local ones that not only can keep up with demand, but deliver great customer service, edible and thoroughly cooked food. And won’t get defensive about messing up an order with someone else’s on their mistake and basically tell you well that’s not our fault. Next! There are plenty other local and chain pizzerias that will take your business that sell a variety of options, are open late night,...
Read moreBeing from NYC, my criticism of Pizza may be on the tougher end, but I try to review a place holistically on multitude of factors. I was excited in trying this new local pizzeria, as I prefer local shops, over the generic tasting chains. Also because I found out, they cater to my dietary restrictions, as they serve "Halal" options; yes, no more vegetarian pizzas!
When they first opened the shop, it was tiny; they were still working on the other side. Now it has a seating area, and occasional activities (like comedy nights on Tuesdays-don't know if they still have that) open to the public. Their Halal options are the Chicken Tikka Masala pizza (brooklyn style thin crust, chicken pieces, onions, and bell peppers), which I thought was really good (kinda spicy), Vegetarian pizza, Cheese pizza, and the Pepperoni pizza (meh, nothing special). I also tried their Garlic Knots and Hot Wings. The Garlic Bread tasted plain baked bread, lacking the garlic flavor, and the Hot Wings were regular wings drenched in Buffalo sauce.
I think the pizzas are over priced for the quality. I know they have deals, but their limited to pickup only, and the quality isn't like their menu priced pizzas. I ordered their largest size of Pepperoni and Chicken Tikka Masala pizza once, and was charged $50, which I thought was a ripoff. I find it amusing, the Pepperoni pizza deal isn't Halal, but they sell Halal Pepperoni pizza for an up-charge. I didn't like how, one of the partner told me their Hot Wings were Halal, and the other partner told me the Wings here aren't Halal, the next time I went to order wings.
I'll avoid this pizzeria, and stick to my Vegetarian pizzas from other non-chain local pizzeria like the Pie pizzeria, Litzas Pizza, and Pizzeria Limone. They definitely need to work on their...
Read moreOn the way home from a Christmas Concert with grandkids, they wanted some pizza. We had some at home but right at a stop light we saw Wild Pepper Pizza. We got intrigued and decided to stop. It looks like a small, home in the wall pizza pick up place but when we stepped inside, it opened up into a very large pizza parlor! They had tables and benches, big screen TV, a Juke Box for music and fun posters everywhere. We stepped up to the order desk without waiting and saw the menu. Lots of flavors and combinations. Oh, we saw the traditional but Jeni said, let's try something different. We got the pepperoni thin crust for the grandkids and we got the Halal with chicken tikka masala spicy pizza and an order of spicy wings. They make everything from scratch so don't expect to just pick it up and run. We waited and talked about the convert their parents were in and had a good time and then the pizza came. The pepperoni thin crust was first and I saw wow!!! Not your typical pepperoni and cheese pizza. Delicious!!! Then came the Halal thin crust Pizza a few minutes after. When I took my first bite, I was in Heaven! WOW! My taste buds exploded with the delicious combination of flavors I never expected to put together. Not too hot but bursting with flavor. Amazing and you have to try it! My wife even loved it and she doesn't like hot! Then came the Spicy Wings. Not sure what they put on them but it's not the traditional spicy sauce. This was different and oh, do much better! In fact, there was a fight for the last one! I lost, and now I regret it!!! Have to go back... get more!!! Dang!!! Well, whatever you heard, I say hi and give it a try. It's all hand made and awesomely delicious!!! Thanks Wild Pepper Pizza. You...
