Marble Slab Creamery — Restaurant in San Angelo

I ordered the Mocha Cappuccino Fudge ice cream cake for my husband's birthday. It was beyond mediocre. The flavor is described as cinnamon and coffee ice cream but there was not one hint of either... For $35.00, you'd think there would be a redeemable quality to the ice cream. I mean... it's ice cream. It's hard to mess up, right? I honestly thought so until this purchase. I've even tasted goat's milk ice cream that was better than this (at least that one tasted like cheese, lol). This one doesn't even have a vanilla flavor... just sweet and tangy(?).

I was excited to get this for him because he loves coffee ice cream. But after the first night of attempting to eat a slice of this cake, he hasn't taken a single bite. His only requirement for ice cream is that it has flavor. This does not. A spoonful of sugar has more flavor than this thing. A spoonful of any artificial sweetener you can pick off the shelf tastes better than this. It really is a huge disappointment.

Don't let the images on the website fool you, look somewhere else. I regret making this purchase. Please don't waste your time or money on an ice cream cake from this Marble Slab Creamery unless your goal is to be disappointed. If so, by all means.

Just spent 45 mins in the drive thru. After about 15 minutes the girl came to the window, and said hold on(rudely). I saw they were pretty steady inside, so I said no problem. She helped everyone that was in line. Then 3 huge trucks full of people came in, i saw them walk in while i was still waiting. Instead of telling them that she would take my order, and be right back with them she took all of their orders as well. 30 mins later another associate came to the window and said did she take your order? I told him no. He was apologetic, and tried to make up to make up for the other associate. I ordered only to be told they were out of the ice cream I wanted. After 45 mins, I just said forget it and drove off. Customer service has really fine down here lately, and it's a shame, because it use to be my favorite ice cream place. Top notch customer service! Very friendly staff. They greeted us as we walked in, held good conversation while preparing our ice cream, and went above and beyond to help me out. I was traveling home to Odessa and realized that my favorite icecream shop was two minutes away! We stopped in and I ordered a pint of ice cream to take home to my mother, as it is her favorite as well! We have about a two hour drive home and we’re worried about it melting. While we ate, the lady offered to put it in their freezer to make it as hard as possible and then put it inside a bigger container to keep it insulated and from leaking all over the car. This was the sweetest gesture and I want to give a big Kuddos to the two girls working today, 2/10/2019! Keep up the great work and thank you for helping me...
