Babe's Old Fashioned Food — Restaurant in San Antonio

Line can take an additional 15 to 20 min. Not really good. FOR STARTERS STAFF NOT VERY RELIABLE IN HOSPITALITY. FRIED PICKLES WERE SEASONED IN HOUSE OVER SALTED NOT DUE TO ORIGINAL PACKAGING, NO NEED TO LIE. ACTUALLY ILL CALL CORPORATE TO SEE THIS THRU.. DRINKS NOT AVAILABLE MEANING NON ACOLHOLIC BUT A FEW. AND PIZZA OVER SEASONED WITH OREGANO, I KNOW ITS PIZZA BUT I DIDNT WANT A SIDE OF SPAGHETTI IN IT. TABLES WERE VERY DIRTY HAD BEEN PACKED QUITE HIGH AND THERE WERE AT LEAST FIVE LEFT FOR THIRTY OR MORE MINUTES. TOOK THAT LONG FOR OUR FOOD TO GET FINISHED UP, THREE ITEMS BY THE WAY.... I WOULD HAVE TAKEN PICTURES BUT NO NEED. I DONT MEAN TO SOUND HASTY. BUT I WAS QUITE FAMISHED AND TRUE TO BE PATIENT BUT THIS WAS NOT EXPECTED BEING THERE MY FIRST AND LAST TIME. No confusion in my reviews, but usually fixing the mess sounds better. I'm not sure why the confusion in the hospitality from here...but regardless, , good to know that there's military discount but you have to ask of course, even if you have a shirt on with the AMERICAN flag AND SAYS VETERAN. THE PERSON, FEMALE UPFRONT IS TRULY LAGGING IN HEPING CUSTOMERS GET THEIR ORDERS AND COMMUNICATION WITH HEADSETS ARE ONLY EFFECTIVE IF USED PROPERLY WITH TEAM EFFORT. ALSO BUNS ARE A LITTLE CRISPY AND SHOULDNT BE BURNT UP ,ANOTHER CUSTOMER KNOWS THE DIFFERENCE. ILL ADD MORE IF THERES MORE CONFUSION TO MY REVIEWS...JUST...

My husband and I were in S.A. retrieving some auction merchandise and had the munchies. A big sign with the word Babe caught my attention. We have been calling eachother "Babe" ever since I can remember and we've been together for 30 yrs. We checked it out and it was not what I expected. I thought it was gonna be a fast food place like Wendy's or Burger King but it wasn't. You order at the front then sit down and wait for your name to be called. It also had BEER (WOW shocker) and a jukebox. When we went in they weren't playing any music but soon after we got our food a man went up to the jukebox and did something to it and then played a song. It was my favorite song, I couldn't believe it, the old man played "TENNESSEE WHISKEY"!! I was HAPPY, sitting with my husband in a new place listening to a great song and of course the FOOD was the icing on the establishment. My husband loved his Mushroom swiss burger and my club sandwich was to big to get my mouth around, I had to make it a little smaller to eat and that is not a bad thing. My husband gave kudos to the chef as we exited. It also had a great bathroom. I had to take a picture of the sign and send it to my friend in Kerrville because he actually calls his wife the name of the place; BABE'S! Ours is BABE! THANKS BABE'S FOR...

Giving one star because the food is great! But the customer service is horrible I called a different by accident and they were so nice when I realized halfway thru my order it wasn't the right location I said I'm sorry and she said no problem when I called this location on military they answered rude and bothered then I get there and no greeting then the girl who took my payment had no smile or hello I don't expect them to be happy but man if your miserable at your job you can find another also I told her just ice and she gave me water with ice then she gave me just water after over the phone and in person I said just ice she didn't say sorry she was so bothered by it and had the ugliest look I'm sorry but I did say it 3xs at this point just ice I wasn't upset or bothered as much as she was I even told her I hope she has a better day I'm not sure who the manager or owner is but I hope they see this and know who they have because I would not want to be a returning customer if...
