Let’s face it, writing a review is a bit of an inconvenience, so many either skip doing so unless the experience is extraordinarily good, really poor, or we care enough to do so. As a fellow small business owner, I would welcome any kind of feedback, because it gives me a chance to address the issue, and helps me better serve my clients and customers. In this spirit, I hope the owners and management read this review, so that they can improve going forward. Made a phone order at about 8:20pm on a Friday evening (a lady took my order). Was told it would take 25 min. Arrived about 8:40pm. Was told that it would be ready in “6 minutes” and completely understood, since I was a bit early, but I could tell there was something going on as the young man who was helping me gave some strange looks to his female co-worker. Pizza was not ready until @9pm, I’m not sure from where the “6 minutes” came. My educated guess is that the young lady who took my order dropped the ball and never entered the order. I understand that things happen, but there was no “we are sorry, or please accept this discount as an apology, or please accept this drink while you wait.” I am a fairly easy-going person and would have accepted a simple: “We’re sorry.” Instead, I was just told “6 minutes,” which was either a lie or just incompetence. I always found it insulting that sometimes business owners or staff assume that the customer is ignorant, dumb, unaware, or doesn’t care. Beyond that, the pizza was made sloppily (see pic of a sample slice); that was supposed to be an Italian sausage pizza (so the toppings were sparse). I’ve been to the Babcock, Blanco, and Broadway locations. The Blanco location is superb in every way (I wrote a separate review for that location). The Babcock location had good service, but the pizza was like this one from the Broadway - sloppily made with sparse toppings. This Broadway location had terrible service AND sloppily made pizza; I point this out because sometimes we will tolerate mediocre service if the product is really good. The Blanco location had wonderful service and an excellent pizza with generous amounts of cheese and just the right amount of toppings. I will stick with the Blanco location in the future and avoid the other 2 locations.

Well, another disappointment as far as NY pizza goes. The people that wrote that this is just like NY, they are out their minds. The dough is blend, by it self it’s just flat no taste. The calzone toppings were quite strange, calzones only have ricotta and mozzarella inside, that’s it. You can add stuff if you want, but it shouldn’t come with it already. I for example just wanted mushrooms in it. But they use canned mushrooms, not fresh. Horrible!! The mozzarella sticks taste like the ones you buy frozen at heb. No taste. And the weird thing was that the tomato sauce cups that came with the mozz sticks and calzone were straight out of the fridge. Who’s idea was that? Who wants to dip their food in cold tomato sauce???? And finally, they have NY tossed and Buffalo pan. My wife ordered the NY tossed and I ordered the Buffalo pan. Now, let me educate you on the difference between both; NY tossed is that traditional round, not thick, not thin, just right, with a crunchy but chewy crust. And buffalo pan, more commonly called a sicilian pie is a rectangle pie, in a pan, with a thick but airy dough with the cheese on the bottom and sauce on top cut into rectangle slices. Well, not at capos. My wife’s pizza and mine were exactly the same as far as the dough went. Again, she ordered tossed and I ordered pan. But there was absolutely no difference except the toppings. Well, it is what it is. It is said that our pizza dough in NY/NJ is so good because of the water up there. But surprisingly enough there are 2 chain pizzerias here that make a pretty darn good pizza. As crazy as that sounds, these two chains keep beating all these places that claim to be from NY or NJ. Look below at the pictures bellow and tell me what the difference is besides the type of cheese. Also included as a freebee is a picture of a buffalo pan pizza. You’re welcome.

Excellent pizza, one of the best we've tried since moving here. However, the first 3 out of 4 times we experienced a MUCH longer wait than told to us over the phone. We have always ordered before 5pm on Fridays and each time we are told 35-40 minutes. Each of the 3 visits were well beyond the said time: First visit was ready ~90 minutes after we placed our order and seemed as though when we got there they realized they hadn't put the order thru (as evidenced by the panicked register girl who found our order slip and ran into the kitchen). Instead of being honest, they kept telling us, "it'll be ready in a few, it'll be ready in a few." We waited 50 minutes inside the restaurant. No genuine apologies as staff were all younger and didn't seem to really have it together, and no manager in sight. Second order was ~75 minutes from time of order. Restaurant seemed busy, so left feeling like, oh well, it is what it is. Third order, and we figured our last if we had another experience like the first two, was placed at 3:45pm. We picked up at 4:30, figuring we'd give them a free extra minutes. When we got there, the manager told us it would be another 20 minutes or so. At this point, I was about to become a Karen. I mean, seriously, we ordered at 3:45!!! As nice as I could under the circumstances, I told him it was our third order and the other two times were considerably delayed as well; we were ready to be done with Capo's. The manager apologized, said they were busy (although there was no sign of that as we stood there nearly 30 minutes), comped our meal, asked us to please try them again, and we walked out exactly 72 minutes after our order was placed. Fourth order was placed around 4:30pm. I mentioned our order history over the phone when I ordered. We walked in at 5:20 and our pizza was ready! Moral of the story is, try a business a few times before giving up on them, and make sure to mention your previous issues. In this particular case, the pizza is good enough to want to order again. I'm thankful the manager was able to make good on our bad...
