I'm very disappointed in this Chili's location. We arrived n it took awhile for our waitress to ask us, what kind of drinks. My oldest daughter came a little later than us n when my daughter couldn't figure out. Our waitress left. My daughter got upset because my daughter felt that she couldn't wait a minute more. N its not like we had her there forever. So, I tried waving her down n she gave me a sign for me to wait. We waited n then we got appetizers without napkins, silverware n the Spider Rita was very watered down as if it was sitting there for a while. Waited, waited, waited for her to get out from the back, waved the other waitresses n they just saw me. Never did they notified my waitress.. so, i asked the host for napkins, etc. Since we had no silverware n we had received our appetizers. Told the manager n she kinda gave me that look like with big eyes saying like, that's it?? My goodness... after that the waitress was more cordial but my husband's beer after 15 or 20 minutes. We asked her n then she said, let me see where its at.. we were like, where in t.h.. will it be? She brought n that beer was probably waiting to be served since the time he ordered it. At the end, she was in a hurry n there weren't that many people for us even to comprehend her rush. At the end the $84. Plus tip receipt could've been wasted in a better restaurant like Texas Longhorn Steakhouse or the Texas Roadhouse.. my husband's steak was dry, extremely dry.. my tea was sweetened instead of unsweetened n my daughter's was unsweetened instead of sweetened. These teas were ordered separate so the confusion she said, was that they had mixed up the teas back there. Very bad lousy experience. Th ed y lost our family as customers there. $84 +tip!! Read moreWe ordered from this location twice in a week. Okay, so creativity is not my strong suit, but our neighborhood Chili’s is a decent choice. The first order was a mushroom Swiss burger. The sticker said mushroom Swiss burger, but what we actually got was a bacon burger. Not the worst mistake, unless you must abstain from pork, of course. Anyway, the food was decent. The next order was the sirloin. However, I ordered it medium rare with NO chile citrus salsa. It was brought to us medium WELL (and if you like the soft, tasty redness, you know what I’m talking about). The sides were good, but the mistakes cannot be the only consistent thing that comes out of this location.
Updated visit (not take out): I thought I was visiting some dive in a non-regulated country. The place was dirty. And seemingly not for lack of staff. Tables needed to be bussed, the floor was dirty, and even the windows seemed grimy. The hostess seemed like we were a bother showing up. She was neither inviting nor did she seem happy to be alive. Not exactly the glowing endorsement of the job. But we were seated in good order. It took more than 7 minutes (yes, I notice these things) to have someone take our drink order. We steady knew what we wanted and ordered our entrees. It then took 40 minutes to receive our order! At Chili’s!! I had the chicken fajitas, which usually come sizzling and char-marked. Neither of which was present. It was warm, but white. Strange for grilled chicken. While the plate was decent and the server was kind, it was overall a pretty poor experience. I also observed other patrons who were having trouble with their meals and service. This is our local chili’s and we’ve been here many times. But I don’t think we’ll go to this...
Read moreMy husband ordered tonight from the Chili's on City Base in San Antonio Texas. When he arrived home and cut into his steak it was still bleeding. I had to re-cook his steak so the rest of his food was already getting cold. Not a big fan of microwaved sides. If I wanted to cook dinner tonight I sure as hell would not have spent money at this establishment. So I was furious and I called the restaurant and was hung up on twice. So my husband called from his phone and asked for the manager name and was ignored not once but twice. This managers lack of giving a single ounce of care was overwhelmingly obvious that he had no intentions of making the situation known. We asked if he would replace his meal and he said No only the steak.(which is ridiculous since his sides were being reheated! He offered a 20.00 gift card with not a single ounce of remorse or even I'm sorry. I wanted to hear I'll retrain my cooks about the situation and I'm sorry this happened. He could have used it as a learning tool to help continuous learning for is staff!! I'm sorry I must have missed the memo that I was hired to be your cook tonight!! Maybe he needs to be reintroduced on how to be a manager.
For the amount of money we spent on our meal you could have at least pretended to give some sort of concern. But he chose to be a complete asshat towards my hubby.
